Project Hail Mary star Ryan Gosling has lined up his next big-screen role.

The supporting cast will reportedly consist of younger actors, with auditions being set up for anyone wanting to land those roles alongside Gosling.

Aside from overseeing the project as directors, Kwan and Scheinert will also serve as producers with Sara Scott, Jacqueline Garell and Jonathan Wang, the latter of whom worked with Kwan on the upcoming documentary The AI Doc: Or How I Became an Apocaloptimist.

The Daniels' biggest movie to date is Everything Everywhere All at Once, which was released in 2022 and grossed $148 million at the global box office. The film received overwhelmingly positive reviews from critics, earning a Certified Fresh score of 93% from critics on Rotten Tomatoes.

Everything Everywhere All at Once dominated awards season and won seven Oscars, including for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress (Michelle Yeoh), Best Supporting Actor (Ke Huy Quan), Best Supporting Actress (Jamie Lee Curtis), Best Original Screenplay and Best Film Editing. The filmmaking duo also won big at the Critics' Choice Awards, Directors Guild of America Awards and Writers Guild of America Awards.

They're not the only ones who have had a great run in recent years. Three years after starring as Ken in the acclaimed Barbie movie, Gosling is currently basking in the success of his latest hit film, Project Hail Mary, an adaptation of Andy Weir's sci-fi novel that opened to $141 million at the global box office and has now surpassed $100 million domestically, a milestone that only three previous Gosling films have reached: Barbie, La La Land and Remember the Titans.
