A cinematic obsessive with the filmic palate of a starving raccoon, Rob London will watch pretty much anything once. With a mind like a steel trap, he's an endless fount of movie and TV trivia, borne from a misspent youth of watching monster movies on TV, perusing the sun-faded goods at the local video rental shop, and staining his fingers with ink from the Video Movie Guide. Areas of interest include science fiction, film noir, horror flicks, '70s disaster pictures, Bond movies, '90s action, giant robots, dinosaurs, super heroes, and the exuberantly schlocky output of Cannon Films. He also enjoys both Star Trek and Star Wars when they're good, and maybe even more when they're bad. As a Canadian, he also has a vested interest in Canadian movies and TV shows, especially the cheesier ones dubbed "Canuxploitation."
An expert on Marvel Comics, he has also written for the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe, and is a member of the Marvel Research Team. He can frequently be found pontificating on comic-book continuity or bemoaning the misfortunes of the Toronto Maple Leafs on his Twitter account.
It's been four years since Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, collectively known as The Daniels, shocked the world, and the box office, with their breakout hit Everything Everywhere All at Once. They're set to start shooting their mysterious new movie later this year, but so far details about it have been kept under wraps. We finally know one thing about the movie: the identity of its star, who's on a major hot streak right now.
According to reports, Ryan Gosling will star in the Daniels' as-yet-untitled new film. There is no word yet as to his role in the film, or any plot details about it. However, Kwan did drop a few tantalizing hints at South by Southwest earlier this month, in an interview with Collider's Steve Weintraub. Kwan teased that the film is "going to be fun sci-fi, action comedy with a big heart. Very existential. All those things that you would hope that one of our movies would be." They intend to shoot much of the film on IMAX, which would be a first for the duo, and for production to kick off this summer in Los Angeles; ideally, that would have the film ready for release in the 2027 holiday season.

What Has Ryan Gosling Been Working on Lately?
Gosling can currently be seen in theaters in Project Hail Mary, an adaptation of the 2021 Andy Weir science fiction novel of the same name. Directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the film has received near-universal acclaim from critics, garnering a 95% Fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes, and has already earned $157 million USD at the global box office after a single week of release. Next up for Gosling is a science fiction film of a different stripe: he's playing the lead in Star Wars: Starfighter, the new franchise film from Stranger Things' Shawn Levy. Details of that film are being kept under wraps, but it's jumping to hyperspace next May. Gosling is also producing, but will not star in, the Margaret Qualley-Patrick Schwarzenegger romance film Love of Your Life.
The new film will be the third from the Daniels, after their debut film, Swiss Army Man, and Everything Everywhere All at Once. Kwan is also producing the new documentary The AI Doc: or How I Became an Apocaloptimist.
The Daniels' new movie, which has yet to get a title, will film this summer, and is expected to be released in late 2027. Stay tuned to Collider for future updates.
