Adam Blevins began working in the entertainment industry in 2022 as a Staff Writer for Agents of Fandom, where he progressed to Senior Editor and interviewed talent from Marvel Studios, House of the Dragon, and Planet of the Apes. He joined Collider as a News Author in April 2024, was promoted to a Senior position in December 2024, and has written over 3,000 articles for the site, including exclusives relating to Avengers: Doomsday, The Penguin, Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, and more. He primarily writes about the latest box office numbers and the hottest movies and TV shows on streaming, while also covering superhero and sci-fi news. He has completed a set visit for The Chosen and even has several months of experience writing Gaming Features at ScreenRant. You can find him on X, LinkedIn, and Muckrack.

Although he’s over 20 years removed from his most recent Academy Award nomination, Russell Crowe has reserved his space as one of the biggest stars in Hollywood. It will forever be impossible to separate him from his daring performance as Maximus in Ridley Scott’s Gladiator, but in the last few years, he’s left the action genre behind with more narrative-driven stories. Two years ago, he starred in a pair of thrillers, Land of Bad and Sleeping Dogs, and while both feature their fair share of action, Crowe carved out a more reserved role in both films. He’s also due to star in several exciting projects coming up on the slate, like The Weight, the new sci-fi adventure movie co-starring Ethan Hawke and Julia Jones. The film does not yet have a release date.

2025 was a quiet year for Russell Crowe, who only released one new movie, but it was one that he had been working on for years. Crowe’s passion project in this later stage of his career was Nuremberg, the World War II-era courtroom drama/legal thriller following the Nuremberg trials, where Nazis were tried to see if they were mentally capable of standing trial for their crimes in the war. After years of delays and uncertainty, Nuremberg finally made it to the big screen last year in November. It failed to dazzle at the box office, but it did earn scores of 73% from critics and 95% from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes. The film is available to rent or purchase on VOD platforms like Prime Video, where it’s still one of the top 10 most popular clicks weeks after its premiere.

While Nuremberg continues to dominate VOD charts, another legal thriller is also topping watchlists over on Netflix. The largest streamer in the world recently premiered the highly anticipated fourth season of The Lincoln Lawyer, the hit series based on the novels of the same name by Michael Connelly. Connelly is also famous for his work writing the Bosch novels that inspired Titus Welliver’s hit Prime Video shows. Both new and familiar fans alike who have acquired a taste for the legal drama from The Lincoln Lawyer are rushing to check out Crowe’s very different courtroom drama on Prime Video.

Be sure to rent or purchase Nuremberg on Prime Video and stay tuned to Collider for more streaming updates.
