RuPaul's Drag Race alum Lucian Piane had been released from jail just hours before he was fatally struck by a vehicle in Glendale, California on Monday, following a troubling series of events.

Piane, 46, had been arrested Sunday in connection with misdemeanor assault in the 800 block of North Central Avenue, Glendale Police Sgt Mike Pobokhian confirmed to The Daily Mail.

The address lines up with the Embassy Suites by Hilton hotel, where Piane had been accused of throwing a water bottle at a hotel manager, and accusing the manager of presiding over a prostitution ring, police sources told TMZ Wednesday.

Glendale police told TMZ that Lucian had been accused by staffers of smoking in the lobby of the hotel, not departing after being asked to leave, spitting at workers and throwing the water bottle.

Lucian had also received a citation on allegations he had smoked in a non-smoking zone Sunday, police confirmed to The Daily Mail.

A number of people had been in the lobby during the incident, police told TMZ, adding that Lucian had allegedly sat on the floor prior to officers detaining him.

RuPaul's Drag Race alum Lucian Piane had been released from jail hours before he was fatally struck by a vehicle in Glendale, California early Monday, following a troubling series of events

Police sources told the outlet that Lucian denied having used drugs, though was exhibiting manic behavior and speaking incoherently at points.

Lucian had been cooperative with police in the arrest, identifying himself as a writer based out of Hollywood, police sources told the outlet.

Law enforcement sources told the outlet that Lucian had been arrested at 6.45pm, booked at 7.42pm and cited and released at 11.49pm Sunday, which came about five hours before he was fatally hit by a vehicle.

Lucian died as a result of blunt trauma, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner, which had ruled his death accidental.

Piane had been zig-zagging on foot at the intersection of San Fernando Road and Harvard Street when he had been struck by a northbound vehicle approaching a green light, Glendale police told The Daily Mail.

The driver involved had demonstrated no signs of impairment, distraction or vehicle code violations in the incident, police said.

Piane had concerned fans with his recent social media activity as he posted several self-taken videos of himself rambling.

Many of his followers asked if he was okay to no reply as he appeared to be spending much of his time on the street.

Piane, also known as RevoLucian, served as a judge, producer and songwriter who worked on multiple seasons of RuPaul's Drag Race.

Piane also achieved internet fame under the aforementioned name of RevoLucian for his satirical techno remixes.

His most famous contribution to internet culture was when he released the track Bale Out, which featured infamous profanity-laced tirades from actor Christian Bale recorded on the set of 2009 film Terminator Salvation.

Piane has also faced trouble with the law and on social media as he was arrested at gunpoint in Los Angeles after refusing to leave a Chase bank in August 2019.

Before that, he had already been arrested two other times that same month for felony vandalism and trespassing.

Piane also came under fire in 2017 for hitting out at RuPaul's Drag Race, after he said it was 'bastardized drag.'

He took to social media to embark on a bizarre rant aimed at the show and claimed RuPaul 'only cares about money.'

This outburst followed a previous incident in late 2016, which saw him make anti-Semitic and racial remarks online. He later apologized, blaming his behavior on drugs.

Piane said the outbursts were down to psychosis, induced by eating too much marijuana, which he claimed he was using to treat an undiagnosed medical issue.
