Romeo Beckham isn't holding back in his first foray into acting as he passionately kisses his male tennis rival in his new gay film Forty Love.

The trailer for the French movie, which was released on Thursday, sees Romeo like we have never seen him before in his role as Sacha Gallo's (Paul Kircher) charismatic tennis rival.

As the pair toy the line between hate and love, their tennis rivalry soon breaks through the flirtatious boundary as Romeo tells Paul's character: 'It’s not my fault if you’re f*****g in love with me.'

In another scene during a tense match, the chemistry is palpable as he warns his rival: 'Sleep with your eyes open, I’m coming for you.'

As the trailer intensifies, it takes a dark turn as Romeo is seen unconscious as Paul drags him into a hotel room before Beckham is seen lying on the court with Paul straddling him and appearing to eat his bloodied organs over his lifeless body.

'I think I killed him!' he admits.

Romeo also takes a swipe at Paul as he says: 'You know, everyone does say you’re boring, and I think they’re right.

In steamy scenes the pair are also seen lying in bed together as a red light shines on them both.

While the film sees Paul's character speaking in French, Romeo's parts are only in English, but the middle Beckham son, 24, makes sure to show off his sporting skills in the tennis scenes.

After bidding goodbye to his football career when he was younger, Romeo, who was aged 12, pursued tennis and his coach at the time commented that his skills were 'extraordinary.'

While he ultimately decided not to pursue a career in the racket sport and went down the modelling world instead, it seems his skills have now come up in his favour.

Romeo's girlfriend Kim Turnbull was quick to show her support as she liked the trailer after it dropped on Thursday.

The story revolves around Paul's character Sacha Gallo, a tennis superstar who's been training with his father to win a major trophy in Paris and is irked by the arrival of new rival – played by Romeo.

However soon their competitive relationship develops into a dark romance.

The synopsis reads: 'For the first time, he faces an opponent of an entirely different nature – love. A force as exhilarating as it is destabilising – and far more dangerous than anything he has encountered on the court.'

The film is described as having 'a rare tenderness, melancholy and strength'.
