Robert De Niro, 82, makes a rare sighting with his seventh child Gia, three, as girlfriend Tiffany, 46, looks on

Robert De Niro made a rare sighting with his new family in New York City on Sunday.

The 82-year-old The Godfather Part II actor was seen pushing his seventh child - daughter Gia, aged three - on a swing while in Central Park.

Next to him was his partner Tiffany Chen, 46, whom he started dating almost five years ago.

All three were bundled up in winter jackets as they spent time by the swing set then walked down an Upper East Side street as the child was in a stroller.

The Hollywood actor has six other children with three other partners.

They are Drena, 57, and Raphael, 48, with his ex-wife Diahnne Abbott, Elliot, 26, and Helen, 13, with ex-wife Grace Hightower. He also has twins Aaron and Julian, 28, with former girlfriend, Toukie Smith. 

Last year the famed actor made rare comments about being a father.

He told Scott Mills on his BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show that he doesn't watch as many movies as he should because he often finds himself watching children's TV instead for the sake of Gia. 

'I don’t watch as many movies as I should, I try to watch films especially that I’m in,' The Godfather actor began.

'I just wanna keep up, but I watch current events if you will news stuff like that. Now I watch with my little girl, The Wiggles and Ms Rachel.'

In early 2025 De Niro revealed he 'tries his best' to be a good father to his seven children but admits that 'family is complex.'

He told The Times that if each of his children were asked to describe him that they would 'all have a different answer.'

De Niro added: 'Family is so complex. I try my best (as a father), that's all. I hope they'll be happy.'

He sweetly added of spending time with his daughter Gia: 'I'm an early riser. I've got a 19-month-old baby. I spend my mornings watching [the YouTuber for toddlers] Ms Rachel with her, and I give her her bottle.' 

In early 2025 De Niro said Gia brings him so much 'joy.' 

'She's such an adorable baby. So sweet,' he said of his bundle of joy. '[When I] look at her, everything else goes away. So it's a great joy and relief to just be with her in the moment.'

His elder children 'all get a big kick out of her,' he explained.

'The grandkids even. She's their aunt— [and] they're about to be teenagers!' he added. 

Raphael is a father of three and Drena's son Leandro De Niro Rodriguez died at age 19 in 2024.

De Niro also gushed about just how important family gatherings are to him: 'The fact that they'd all be together is everything to me.'
