EXCLUSIVE: Robert Aramayo, riding high after winning the Best Actor and Rising Star prizes at last week’s BAFTA Awards, has signed with CAA.

The I Swear star became the first actor to win both prizes in the same night. The accolades came after he won the British Independent Film Award for Best Lead Performance earlier in the season.

Well-received drama I Swear charts the true story of campaigner John Davidson who was diagnosed with Tourette’s syndrome at a young age and struggled for years with a condition few people had witnessed or heard of. Davidson and the Tourettes condition have been in the global spotlight in the past 10 days following a dramatic BAFTA ceremony and controversy over the BBC’s handling of the broadcast.

I Swear was previously picked up by Sony Classics for the U.S and will be released on April 24. It has already taken an impressive $8.3M in the UK for Studiocanal.

Aramayo is also known for starring as Elrond in Amazon’s The Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power, Young Ned Stark in Game Of Thrones, and in miniseries Behind Her Eyes, as well as in movies Palestine 36, Galveston, with Ben Foster and Elle Fanning, The Standoff At Sparrow Creek and Nocturnal Animals.

A Juilliard graduate, the Brit actor recently made his London stage debut in Luke Norris’ play Guess How Much I Love You at the Royal Court Theatre

Aramayo continues to be represented by 42 in the UK and MJ Management.
