Riverdale star Vanessa Morgan is engaged to her Canadian boyfriend James Karnik.

Vanessa shared a carousel of photos that were carefully posed and professionally photographed on her Instagram.

She captioned that post, 'Merry Christmas Eve from me and my fiancé.'

Then she shared a candid photo full of glee in which she holds her hand up to the camera to show off her new bling.

She has a big smile on her face and also has her tongue out. Her husband-to-be towers over her in the background.

'This relationship is a testimony to the blessings God brings when you fully surrender and trust in his perfect timing. I'm so grateful to get to experience this kind of love in this lifetime. Lysm,' she gushed in the caption of that post adding a red heart and diamond ring emojis.

She said yes! Riverdale star Vanessa Morgan is engaged to her Canadian boyfriend James Karnik

She shared the engagement scoop with People, telling the outlet that Kurnik scored big points for proposing at Christmas time.

'James knows how much I love Christmas, especially all the festive lights, so he took me to the Langley Glow Light Festival,' Morgan told the outlet.

'We were walking around, and I honestly thought he was going to propose on Christmas morning, so it came as a complete shock when it happened.'

She continued, 'James had just injured his foot — we weren't sure if it was a break or a sprain at the time, but he was on crutches.

'I asked him if he was sure he wanted to walk around on crutches, and he said, 'For you, I'll do it. I know how much you love this.' It seemed a little suspicious, but I didn't think much of it.'

Karnik also arranged for a professional photographer to follow the couple around while trying to stay undetected.

'Then, in the middle of all the lights and people, James put down his crutches to 'adjust his shoe,' and that's when I started to suspect something was up,' the actress said.

'He dropped his crutches, got down on one knee, and asked me to marry him.'

Vanessa's ring is gorgeous and features at 4.64-carat, lab grown diamond set in a 14K rose gold band with white and blue marquise cut diamonds placed to look like butterflies.

'When I saw the ring, it was just stunning, and in that magical moment, with the lights all around us, it felt like the best Christmas present ever,' Morgan said.

And Kurnik is just as excited about the proposal and their future together as Vanessa is.

'Excited for this next step in life and couldn’t be happier with the person I’m doing it with,' Karnik said.

The proposal comes five months after the couple welcomed their daughter Kaia Autumn Skye, who is their first child together.

Vanessa also shared son River, three, with her ex-husband, Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher, Michael Kopech, 28.

When Kaia was born, the Wild Cards star shared the news on Instagram, writing, 'Been enjoying all the baby snuggles these past three weeks with our angel. Beyond grateful.'

Both of Kaia's parents hail from Canada with mom from Ottawa, Ontario, and dad from Surrey, British Columbia.

At 6ft9in, James is 19 inches taller than 5ft2in Vanessa, but they've been an inseparable Canadian couple as far back as 2022.

Last month, Vanessa shared how she was getting ready for Christmas as a new mother to two children.

'I think for Christmas we're going to go visit my partner James in Europe, which I think will be so fun and exciting,' Morgan told People last month.

'I've seen Europe at Christmas and the little Christmas towns — I'm really big on Christmas and the holidays, so I'm excited to experience that with them overseas.'

This year, the couple also plan to recreate their new favorite holiday tradition for their children.

'We started this with James last year, where the kids wake up and you put wrapping paper on either a door or the hallway entrance to the living room, so they can't see the Christmas tree,' she explained.

'So it's like they wake up and they have to knock down the wrapping paper to get to the room with the Christmas tree,' she added.
