How to Watch Grammys 2026 and Live From E! Red Carpet

Rita Wilson turned the 2026 Grammys into a glamorous family night.

Although husband of 37 years Tom Hanks was not by her side as she walked the red carpet at the Crypto.com Arena Feb. 1, joining her for the occasion was granddaughter Olivia Hanks. And it was certainly a night for remember for the duo as music’s biggest night also happened to fall on Olivia’s 15th birthday.

For the occasion, Rita, 69, donned a black short-sleeved Jenny Packham gown with silver sequins, rounding out the look with silver fingerless gloves and a matching handbag.

As for Olivia—the eldest of Colin Hanks and Smantha Bryant’s two daughters—she donned a navy blue floor-length dress, with a rhinestone strap over her left shoulder. (For all the Grammys red carpet fashion click here.)

Though Olivia was by her grandmother’s side during the main event, Rita was sure to share the wealth throughout Grammys weekend as son Chet Hanks, 35, joined her for Clive Davis’ pre-Grammys party the evening prior.

However, for Rita—who also shares Truman Hanks, 30, with Tom and is stepmom to Colin, 48, and E.A. Hanks, 43, from the Oscar winner’s first marriage—quality time with her granddaughters is all about making fun memories together.

"You got to get on the trampoline with them, you got to get in the pool with them, you got to get on the tennis court, you got to do all the sports," she explained to Entertainment Tonight in 2023. "You just got to hang out."

Although, as Colin previously joked, his parents’ version of quality time with the grandkids has at times, interrupted the routines he and Samantha tried to set for the girls.

"It would be great if they paid attention to the kids' bedtime,” the Fargo alum told Today in 2022. “You know, actually cooked food that the kids will eat. No, they're fine, they're great."

Instead, he added, their routine becomes “a lot of sugar—a lot of not necessarily paying attention to the schedule. The only thing that's missing, they need like good ugly sweater vests. If they both had those and just some glasses and complained about the temperature, I think we'd be good."
