‘Ring By Spring Break’ Dating Show & ‘Million Dollar Nannies’ Reality Series Ordered By Hulu

Hulu is doubling down on dating and reality.

The streamer has ordered a new dating series from American Idol producer Fremantle and a reality series featuring a young group of elite nannies.

It comes as Disney is preparing for its annual Get Real unscripted event, which is being held tonight (April 22) in Beverly Hills.

Ring by Spring Break is inspired by the viral TikTok trend, where evangelical Christian students feel pressure to get engaged before graduation, which takes place at schools such as BYU in Utah, home to Hulu’s controversial series The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.

The dating series drops single Christian college students into a steamy spring break in Cabo, where finding “The One” isn’t a dream … it’s a deadline, per the logline. As faith battles temptations in paradise, will they leave engaged or graduate alone?

Sam Dean, who served as showrunner on Netflix’s Love Is Blind, will serve as showrunner with Jimmy Fox and Emily Bon exec producing for Fremantle.

Elsewhere, Hulu and Disney cable network Freeform have ordered Million Dollar Nannies.

The series follows a young group of elite nannies, who head to Ibiza to launch a new kind of agency, built by nannies, for nannies. They’re promised VIP families, life-changing money and a shot at something bigger than any of them could build alone. But fierce competition, personal drama and a scandal from the past threaten to derail the dream before the summer sets.

Cast members include Leah Barrs, Jack McCann, Mitchell Bienvenue, Taylor Hayward, Olivia McMahon, Hannah Joy Davis, Tamaya Denae and Sydney Siegel.

It will premiere two episodes on Freeform on June 17 with the entire season dropping on Hulu on June 18.

It is produced by Hi Mom Productions, which was founded by The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives exec producer Andrea Metz and Michelle Peerali, who produced Paris in Love, and 3Ball in association with Walt Disney Television. Metz and Peerali serve as executive producers alongside Patrick Agans, Ross Weintraub and Reinout Oerlemans, with Omid Kahangi (June Farms) as showrunner and Brandon Panaligan as post executive producer.
