Rihanna Debuts Massive Scribble Tattoo Designed by Her 3 Kids
This Mother’s Day, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky took a break from work work work work work.
Instead, the couple—parents to sons RZA Athelston Mayers, 3, Riot Rose Mayers, 3, and daughter Rocki Irish Mayers, 8 months—took the evening of May 10 to enjoy a dinner date at Italian restaurant Cucina Alba in New York City.
For the occasion, Rihanna donned black trousers and a matching blazer under which a lacy bra peeked through. She styled the look with large sunglasses, pointed-toe snakeskin heels, chunky gold necklaces and a small tan purse in her hand.
A$AP, meanwhile, wore a quilted suede trenchcoat with red leather accents. He finished off the outfit with black jeans, boots and small rectangular sunglasses. He held a leather purse at his shoulder.
Since becoming parents in 2022, Rihanna and A$AP have never been shy about gushing over their lives as parents, but Rihanna recently marked her love onto her body—and we mean that literally.
On May 8 the “Umbrella” artist debuted a tattoo “designed” by her three kids, a.k.a. Rihanna took a scribble drawing created by little ones and had it inked permanently onto the back of her knee by artist Bang Bang.
While the original drawing was done in colorful markers, Rihanna opted for the tattoo to get done in shades of black. And though this isn’t the first ink the 38-year-old has had done, she admitted her nerves, joking in a clip shared by the tattoo parlor, "The torture I've endured in this shop.”

But one thing that hasn’t been torturous is the life she and A$AP have built together in the years since their longstanding friendship took a turn for the romantic during the pandemic.
"I let God lead and just let go," Rihanna told Interview Magazine in 2024. "Because in previous relationships, I tried and tried and tried my best, and you still feel like it’s not enough. So, when someone sees you completely, and believes in you, and thinks you’re worthy of being the mother of their kids, it’s a great feeling.”
She added, “I felt the same about him. I knew he would be a great dad.”
Which is why, when asked how many kids she might like to welcome with A$AP, her answer was an easy, “As many as God wants me to have.”
