EXCLUSIVE: WME has signed Rick Glassman in all areas, with an eye toward accelerating his momentum across comedy, television, podcasting, and beyond.
A stand-up comedian, actor, writer, and podcaster, who is the newest paid regular at The Comedy Store in Los Angeles, Glassman was recently seen recurring opposite Steve Carell in the first season of Bill Lawrence’s HBO comedy Rooster.
Glassman first broke out as a series regular on NBC’s Undateable and then went on to star in Jason Katims’ critically acclaimed Amazon series As We See It, following a two-season series regular role opposite Gina Rodriguez on ABC’s Not Dead Yet.
Other television credits include recurring roles on FX’s The Comedians and Paramount Network’s Nobodies, produced by Melissa McCarthy. Earlier in his career, he portrayed Harold Ramis in David Wain’s Netflix comedy A Futile and Stupid Gesture.
In addition to his on-screen work, Glassman is the creator and host of the podcast Take Your Shoes Off, which in the past year has won two Webby Awards and five Signal Awards (including for Judges’ and People’s Choice for Most Innovative Video Podcast) and has featured guests including Paul Rudd, Kristen Bell, Marc Maron, Jack Black, and Michael Cera.
Later this summer, Glassman will bring his Ricky’s On The Loose tour to the UK/Europe with multiple appearances at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, as well as his own show at the Just For Laughs comedy festival in Montreal. He continues to be represented by Artists First and Felker McGinnis & Ryan.
