Richard Gere's nepo baby son Homer strips off in Euphoria for explicit sex scene with Sydney Sweeney

Richard Gere's son Homer is following in his famous father's footsteps by carving out a career in Hollywood – racy roles included.

The 26-year-old is starring in season three of Euphoria, and he appeared in a jaw-dropping sex scene with Sydney Sweeney on Sunday's episode.

Homer, who plays fictional TV star Dylan Reid in the HBO series, gets seduced by Sweeney's character, Cassie Jacobs.

Unlike Sweeney, Homer didn't appear completely naked on screen, but the nepo baby did simulate an X-rated act with the A-lister before walking around in his underwear. 

His father is no stranger to pushing the envelope on screen, most notably in 1980's American Gigolo, which saw Gere play a high-end male escort in seedy Los Angeles.

The film featured full frontal nudity, and it was not the last time that Gere got his gear off on camera either.

The actor, now 76, also showed off his manhood in 1983's Breathless, before getting steamy with Kim Basinger in 1986's No Mercy.

As for Homer, he has already impressed HBO viewers with his supporting role in Euphoria this season, with many taking to social media to gush about the rising star's good looks. 

'I would prefer a man like that a thousand times over those gym-pumped ones,' gushed one fan.

'Love this type of male body because it’s so real and so guy next door. He has enough muscle that you can tell he works out, but also clearly doesn’t live in the gym and is well fed,' wrote another. 

'I actually love that he isn't shredded. It’s good to see realistic bodies on screen,' added a third.

Homer will next be seen alongside fellow nepo baby Kaia Gerber, daughter of supermodel Cindy Crawford, in Ryan Murphy's The Shards.

The series, based on the bestselling novel by American Psycho author Bret Easton Ellis, is known for its brutal violence and graphic sex scenes. 

Homer graduated from Brown University with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and visual arts, but his true passion appears to be acting. 

In a 2024 interview, Gere admitted that Homer 'doesn't understand' his fame and hasn't seen many of his films. 

'He doesn't understand it,' Gere explained to Vanity Fair Spain.

'And it is also very difficult for him to see me on the screen because even if I play an extreme character, I am still his father and it is difficult for him to get into the story,' he continued.

'As it happens, he just started acting too. He has suddenly become interested and seems to enjoy it. 

'He's been writing and directing little movies, so we have this new thing in common.'

Gere shares Homer with his ex-wife, Carey Lowell, whom he divorced in 2016.

The 76-year-old also has two young boys, Alexander and James, with his current wife Alejandra Silva, who is 33 years his junior.

The family currently live together in Spain, while Homer is based in Los Angeles to focus on his career.

So far, Homer has appeared in multiple episodes of Euphoria this season.

While the HBO series is his first major role, The Shards, which will premiere on FX later this year, is expected to be his big breakout.
