Revealed: Mia Goth's hopes for her troubled estranged husband Shia LaBeouf after his New Orleans arrest

Mia Goth is reportedly hoping that her estranged husband Shia LaBeouf checks himself into rehab following his New Orleans arrest after a bar brawl this week.

The 32-year-old star's split from the Transformers actor was also recently revealed, with the separation occurring last year following nine years of marriage. The pair additionally share daughter Isabel, three. 

In the early hours of Tuesday, LaBeouf was involved in a physical altercation during the Mardi Gras Festival, with video showing the Hollywood star headbutting another man outside a bar. 

He also allegedly used a homophobic slur repeatedly during the heated confrontation. A spokesman for the New Orleans Police Department told the Daily Mail that he is now facing two charges of simple battery. 

Sources told TMZ in an article published on Friday that Goth wants Labeouf to enter rehab to help manage his alcohol use. 

The insiders claimed that the actor's behavior has been happening for years now, with the recent altercation bringing it publicly to light.

While Goth and LaBeouf have split, the Frankenstein actress still has love for her ex and wants him to continue to be a part of their daughter's life, the outlet's source claims.

The Daily Mail has reached out to reps for Goth and LaBeouf, but did not immediately hear back. 

Leading up to his New Orleans arrest, the star had police visits to his residence in Los Angeles before his separation from Goth five months earlier, TMZ reported. 

Back in November 2024, law enforcement had responded to a 'husband and wife' disturbance of the peace call. 

TMZ claimed that during the call, an 'uncooperative female' had told her husband 'just go,' with a male additionally heard cursing in the background. 

No formal report was filed at the time but a spokesperson for the Pasadena City Public Information Office confirmed to the outlet that the incident involved those residing at the home. 

And then last year in August 2025, police officers received a call in regards to a stalking incident. 

The caller had told officers that an 'old friend' was 'mentally ill and she thinks she is married to Shia LaBeouf.'

It was also claimed by the caller that the woman was 'murderously angry with him, appears to be stalking him and is going to his home.' 

It is not known if the Hollywood actor had been informed of the alleged stalking incident or the call that was placed. 

A source told the Daily Mail that Goth separated from Labeouf five months ago - after the estranged couple tied the knot in 2016. 

Two years later, they filed for divorce before later reconciling. Their daughter was welcomed to the world in March 2022. 

On Thursday, LaBeouf was seen on a three-hour stroll in New Orleans while also running errands. 

Only days earlier, the actor had been arrested in the early hours of Tuesday after a physical altercation.

According to the New Orleans Police Department, officers were called to Royal Street around 12:45 a.m. following reports of a disturbance involving two adult male victims.

Eyewitnesses alleged LaBeouf became increasingly aggressive at a business and was escorted out by staff, at which point he allegedly struck one man multiple times with closed fists.

Authorities said the situation escalated when LaBeouf returned to the scene and allegedly assaulted the same victim again before punching a second man in the nose.

Witnesses reportedly attempted to restrain him until police arrived.

LaBeouf was taken to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries before being booked into Orleans Parish Prison.

He was charged with two counts of simple battery.

In a statement provided to Daily Mail, the police said: 'At approximately 12:45am on February 17, 2026, NOPD officers were called to the 1400 block of Royal Street in response to a simple battery where two victims (two adult males), reported being assaulted.

'Investigators say a man identified as 39-year-old Shia LaBeouf was reportedly causing a disturbance and becoming increasingly aggressive at a Royal Street business.

'A staff member attempted to eject Mr. LaBeouf from the establishment. Once removed from the building, the victim reported being struck by LaBeouf who used his closed fists on the victim several times.

'The victims reported that LaBeouf left, but then came back, acting even more aggressive.'

The police said: 'Multiple people attempted to hold him down - he was eventually let up in hopes that he would leave - but he reportedly again struck the same victim with closed fists to the victim's upper body. LaBeouf then reportedly assaulted another person - punching him in the nose.

The star was charged with two counts of simple battery following the altercation; seen in 2024 in Cannes 

'LaBeouf was again held down until police arrived. He was taken to a hospital for treatment of unknown injuries. Upon release, he was arrested and charged with two counts of simple battery.'

LaBeouf was involved in a confrontation outside a bar in the city's French Quarter.

In a video, obtained by TMZ, LaBeouf can be seen receiving medical treatment from paramedics following the alleged clash. However, it remains unclear what led to the confrontation.

The actor also allegedly using homophobic slurs during the incident, according to a police report obtained by The Daily Mail.

The report claims that during the altercation, LaBeouf allegedly used a homophobic slur 'multiple times.' 

In a video, obtained by TMZ, LaBeouf can be seen receiving medical treatment from paramedics following the alleged clash. However, it remains unclear what led to the confrontation; seen in 2019 in Hollywood 

In the narrative section of the report, officers wrote that at one point LaBeouf allegedly stated: 'These f****ts put me in jail. I'm a Catholic.'

The police report also noted that LaBeouf allegedly directed the slur toward the victims 'multiple times' throughout the incident.

Authorities said LaBeouf was transported to Touro Hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries before being booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center.

LaBeouf was later released on his own recognizance and has not publicly commented on the allegations outlined in the police report.
