Crush a green herb and get some gains

Thanks to its hunky hero and chunky-bottomed zombie babies, Resident Evil Requiem has become one of 2026's biggest hits. Returning protagonist Leon Kennedy was already a fashion icon, thanks to his immaculate taste in jackets, and now he's becoming a fitness inspiration as well. Resident Evil fans on social media are swapping diet and exercise tips for how to attain Leon's lean-yet-beefy physique — without the help of any sketchy supplements from the Umbrella Corporation.
Over on Reddit, a self-described gym newbie asked fellow zombie slayers for advice on getting in shape like Leon, after being shooed away from fitness forums for daring to mention a video game. While the prompt elicited plenty of jokes from Resi fans about Chris Redfield using steroids and punching boulders, others took the time to provide sincere advice.
One commenter, who claims to work as a personal trainer, offered some useful general tips: "Honestly as a beginner, consistency above [all] else, nutrition a very close second. That’s really all that matters. Noobie gains will take you further than you’d expect, it will take years to look like this regardless but that’s back to the consistency point. If you’re looking for a program, either meet with a trainer and pay for the services or use any free one online or from subs like r/fitness and it will do you pretty good. Don’t be stupid and get hurt though. Never be afraid to ask for help in the gym."
Another experienced gym-goer offered more granular advice, focusing on Leon's body composition and upper-body muscle:
Turns out, this redditor is far from the first to seek out a Leon Kennedy workout plan. Offering "look like Leon" workouts seems to be a bit of a cottage industry on social media, particularly in the lead-up to Resident Evil Requiem's launch. The TL;DR here seems to be: focus on your biceps and triceps, and eat plenty of green, red, and blue herbs.
Capcom has announced Resident Evil Requiem will get a new mini-game in May and story DLC later this year. Sadly, it's safe to assume that those expansions will not reveal anything about Leon's workout regime or his secret wife. Even so, there's still time to make some sick gains between now and then.
