Here at Screen Rant, our very own Hayes Madsen awarded Resident Evil Village a 9/10, calling it "a nightmare reborn" in their review. It read:
Capcom has managed to make a game that feels both familiar and fresh at the same time. It's not a complete overhaul, but rather a refinement of the series as a whole. Resident Evil Village is a gorgeous innovation that preserves the heart of a beloved franchise, and continues a string of excellent mainline entries that will dazzle veterans and newcomers alike.
Now, the giantess is set to return later this month, with the arrival of a limited-time event which will come to an end in late December.
In previous months, Capcom had announced its special Resident Evil 30th Anniversary event, titled The World of Resident Evil, which will be taking place in Tokyo at the BEAM Gallery from October 30 to December 24.
It is at this very event that visitors will be able to explore an exhibition dedicated to three decades of the beloved survival horror franchise, ranging from 1996's Resident Evil to 2026's Resident Evil Requiem. It will delve into the games' development, backstory, and history, and perhaps most exciting is that one area will be dedicated to some of the franchise's most iconic characters.
Featuring the likes of Leon Kennedy, Albert Wesker, and, of course, Lady Dimitrescu, this exhibition will include life-sized statues, and we can only imagine what it will be like to stand next to the giantess. She will be accurately displayed at 9 feet 6 inches (or 2.9 meters) tall, but the obvious catch here is that this event will be a Japan-exclusive. However, if you happen to find yourself visiting in the upcoming months, the BEAM Gallery seems like a must-visit if you are a Resi fan.
The event will be open on weekdays between October 30 and December 24, and will be located on the fourth floor of the Shibuya BEAM in Tokyo. If you are also a collector, you will be pleased to hear that there will be exclusive gifts available for purchase, and with the exhibition costing just $20 to enter, you will have more than enough change to go mad in the gift store.
Even if you do not find yourself in Japan to visit the exhibition, it is still an exciting time to be a Resident Evil fan. Not only can we expect Resident Evil Veronica to launch some time in 2027, but rumors suggest that Resident Evil Requiem will get story DLC some time soon.
