Burger Pass promo causes a website outage

If you were one of the first people rushing to take advantage of this deal, you may have received an error message when trying to access it. The page was back up and running by around noon ET, but once you clicked Purchase Now, you might have seen another error message.

Red Robin may not have been ready for the influx of consumers ready to grab this deal. A Red Robin representative reached out to CNET with this message to clear up any confusion that may have occurred during the promotion: "We did everything we could to anticipate interest in the Bottomless Burger Pass, including working with our website partners to prepare the site to handle the influx of traffic, but due to overwhelming excitement in the pass our website crashed."

Finally getting to the Burger Pass signup page

After several attempts, I finally got to the page where you can sign up for the pass. Once there, I had the option to gift it to a friend or purchase it for myself. After choosing who I wanted to receive the pass, I was asked where Red Robin should ship it.

Then it asked how soon I wanted my pass. The cart page finally loaded, and I was shocked to see the order total as $682. However, lower on the Red Robin burger pass promotion page in terms and conditions, it said: Limited use of up to $22 per day from 5/1/25 – 5/31/25. So it actually calculated that cost for the entire month.

The Red Robin representative continued to share with me about the mishap I experienced: "After the $20 pass sold out, the cost of the pass briefly showed as full value ($682) on our gift card partner's website. This error has been resolved, and we sincerely apologize for any confusion."

Red Robin Bottomless Burger Pass sells out

Unfortunately, the burger passes sold out fast. That was to be expected, as Red Robin warned us on the burger pass promotion page. But if you still want to celebrate National Burger Month next month, you can take out the grill and make your own burgers or celebrate at a barbecue.
