She's made history as one of Married At First Sight Australia's first openly bisexual brides - and Julia Vogl proved she's just as fearless with fashion as she is with her heart.

The 35-year-old reality star was all smiles as she stepped out in Melbourne on Friday night, looking effortlessly cool as she joined a group of equally stylish friends for a night out at iconic live music venue The Night Cat.

Dressed to impress, Julia rocked a striking red leather jacket adorned with dramatic fringe detailing that swayed with every step.

Underneath, she wore a crisp white cropped shirt buttoned to the collar, adding a polished edge to the bold ensemble.

She paired the look with sheer black flared pants layered over visible Calvin Klein underwear, striking the perfect balance between edgy and fashion-forward.

The semi-transparent trousers elongated her frame and gave the outfit a daring, high-fashion twist.

Julia completed the look with black boots and statement silver earrings, while her blonde hair was swept back into a sleek bun.

A swipe of bright red lipstick tied the whole outfit together, matching her jacket and adding to her confident glow.

At one point, she was seen laughing brightly as she strolled alongside her friends, clearly in high spirits as they chatted animatedly outside the venue before heading inside for live music.

Noticeably absent from the night out was Julia's TV husband Grayson McIvor.

Julia recently made headlines for becoming one of the franchise's first openly bisexual participants, telling Daily Mail her decision to be upfront about her sexuality was about authenticity rather than attention.

'My bisexuality isn't my whole identity,' she said.

'It's just a part of me that I've embraced. When I signed up, I wanted true love, and that can come in many different packages for me.' 

She explained she was equally open to marrying a man or a woman and refused to limit herself during the experiment.

'There's this idea that bisexual people can be greedy or not loyal,' she said.

'I think it's really important to have representation of bisexual people who are grounded, real and loyal.'

Julia said she hopes her appearance on the show helps others express themselves.

'Hopefully I can be a permission slip for people who want to be truthful to themselves,' she said.

That honesty extended to her relationship with Grayson, who she said responded with openness and respect when she shared her sexuality.

'It was really great to know he was open-minded,' she said.

'I felt comfortable sharing that with him and it brought us closer.'
