Red Dead Redemption 2 Officially Returns This Month With New Content

Rockstar has a lot going on right now with the upcoming release of Grand Theft Auto VI, with fans expecting something monumental when the game drops in November. As exciting as that is, fans of the developers other major IP (Red Dead Redemption) have found themselves out in the cold, particularly with a lack of concrete plans moving forward.

Though another game in the series may be a pipe dream, they have at least been diligent about bringing players new content in Red Dead Online, where the game is still thriving. The latest of those events is now live, and it's all centered around Telegram missions and collecting, with some very worthwhile rewards on offer.

The main thing you'll want to be doing during the event, if you haven't already, is ranking up as a Collector. With each passing week, you can earn cosmetic items if you meet the rank requirements, allowing you to assemble the Frontiersman Outfit by the time event draws to a close. The full list of requirements with their corresponding weeks is as follows:

Frontiersman Pants and Belt (August 4–10)

Collectors Rank 10 or higher can log in to receive the Frontiersman Pants and Belt. Collect a Fossil to receive the blue Vaquero Baroque Spurs.

Frontiersman Boots and Half Chaps (August 11–17)

Collectors Rank 10 or higher can log in to receive the Frontiersman Boots and Half Chaps. Complete your Collector Daily Challenges to receive a Reward for the North Clingman Treasure Map.

Frontiersman Shirt and Suspenders (August 18–24)

Rank 20 Collectors can log in to receive the Frontiersman Shirt and Suspenders. Complete the Weekly Collection to receive a Reward for a Free Shirt.

Frontiersman Neckerchief (August 25–31)

Rank 20 Collectors can log in to receive the Frontiersman Neckerchief. Win in the Featured Series to receive a Reward for the Burned Town Treasure Map.

There are plenty of other rewards on offer for your efforts, with 3X RDO$, Role XP, and XP any time you complete Collector Set Sales. at the same time Red Dead Online Telegram Missions, A Tough Business, Skelding's Contract, Strange Tales of the West, and more, are paying 3X RDO$, XP, and Gold.

This latest Red Dead Online event is set to run until August 31, when all of the associated rewards and events will be going away for the time being. There will continue to be monthly events after that, as we move on, but it will be a very different proposition, so its worth acting now if you like what you see above.
