Grammys 2026: Reba McEntire Reveals Why Rex Linn Wedding Has Been Postponed

Reba McEntire loves her work and never stops—even for her upcoming nuptials.

The Happy’s Place actress shared an update on planning her wedding to fiancé Rex Linn—who also stars in the NBC sitcom—as the couple attended the 2026 Grammy Awards at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles Feb. 1, admitting that her walk down the aisle depends partly on their busy filming schedules.

“We're still waiting on a third season pickup from Happy’s Place,” she told Zuri Hall in an exclusive interview alongside Brandy Clark during Live From E!: Grammys. “And Rex got picked up on Stick with Owen Wilson, so that pushed the wedding back.”

As such, Reba, 70, shared that Rex, 69, had adopted a simple mantra: “He says, ‘Work comes first.’” (See every star who walked the red carpet at the 2026 Grammys by clicking here.)

In the meantime, the pair seem to be content to take their time with the planning process. Shortly after the three-time Grammy winner exclusively confirmed her engagement to E! News at the 2025 Emmys in September, Rex admitted he was savoring his fiancé status.

“What we’re doing right now, honestly, is enjoying our engagement time,” he told E! News in November. “We haven’t set a date, we’re just going to enjoy our engagement and enjoy going to Happy’s Place every day.”

Indeed, the CSI: Miami alum pointed out that he and his bride-to-be were having a blast sharing their days both on and off set.

“We love being around one another,” he continued. “We like going to work, we like coming home from work. We can’t wait to go back the next day. Our relationship in real life has enhanced our scenes where we’re together because we’re a lot more comfortable. It makes it a lot better for us.”

And when Reba and Rex do walk down the aisle, the “Fancy” singer insisted the festivities will be “a lot of fun.”

“It’s gonna be a nontraditional wedding because that’s Rex and me,” she noted. “We like comfort, we love friends, we love food.”
