He was said to have smiled and shaken hands with the fans, and he allegedly stopped to talk with them and pose for some photos shortly before the shooting started.

The chilling attack comes more than three years after Offset's fellow Migos member Takeoff was shot and killed outside of a bowling alley in Houston, Texas; Takeoff is pictured in 2019 in Atlanta, Georgia

The chilling attack comes more than three years after Offset's fellow Migos member Takeoff was shot and killed outside of a bowling alley in Houston, Texas. He was 28.

A 23-year-old man named Patrick Xavier Clark was later arrested and charged with shooting Takeoff (real name: Kirsnick Khari Ball).

Clark, who is free on a $1 million bond, has denied firing the shots that killed Takeoff, but prosecutors have claimed that surveillance footage shows him firing a gun at a crowd of people.

His trial has been delayed for several years, but he is now set to go before a jury in November.

Offset is best known for his work with the chart-topping rap trio Migos, which also includes fellow rapper Quavo, 35, who was Takeoff's uncle and a friend of Offset.

However, Takeoff's death led the surviving members to disband the group and focus on their solo careers.

Offset had previously released the critically and commercially successful collaborative album Without Warning (2017) with 21 Savage and Metro Boomin, and he went on to release his debut studio solo album, Father of 4, in 2019.

His second studio LP, eventually titled Set It Off, had been scheduled to be released in November 2022, but it was delayed until October 2023 due to Takeoff's murder, when it debuted at number five on the Billboard 200 albums chart.

Cardi revealed in late 2023 that they had split again — seemingly for good — and she filed for divorce in July 2024, just a day before revealing that she was pregnant with their third child together; pictured in September 2023 in Neward, New Jersey

In August 2025, Offset released his third studio album, Kiari, which only peaked at number 16 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Last year also saw the release of his collaborative album Haunted by Fame, which features YoungBoy Never Broke Again, NoCap and Lil Dump.

Offset was previously in a high-profile on–off relationship with the rapper Cardi B, 33.

The couple shares three children: daughters Kulture, seven; and Blossom, 17 months; as well as their four-year-old son Wave.

Offset and Cardi B (real name: Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar) began dating in 2017 and tied the knot later that year, though their secret marriage was reported on until a year later when their marriage license was discovered by TMZ.

The couple split for the first time in December 2018, just five months after they welcomed Kulture, though they reunited just months later.

In September 2020, Cardi filed for divorce, only to reunite with Offset just a month later.

Their son Wave was born in September 2021, and Cardi shared the following year that she was looking forward to marrying Offset.

However, she revealed in late 2023 that they had split again, seemingly for good, and she filed for divorce in July 2024 before announcing her third pregnancy the following day.

Offset also has three older children from previous relationships: sons Jordan Cephus, 16; Kody Cephus, 11; and daughter Kalea Marie Cephus, 11.
