Amanda Keller broke down when she was asked an emotional question in an episode of the ABC TV series The Assembly.

The WSFM radio host, 62, was asked whether she 'loves her husband' by an autistic journalism student during a recent episode of the new chat show hosted by Leigh Sales.

She became teary-eyed as she discussed her husband Harley Oliver's long-time battle with Parkinson's disease and how it had affected them both.

'That is a beautiful question and I think I am going to cry. My husband is going through some stuff at the moment with Parkinson's disease,' Amanda began.

Amanda then revealed how Harley's ongoing battle with the neurodegenerative disorder had affected their lives - and strengthened their love for each other.

'We've been married 34 years and life is changing around us. He's so good with it [but] in a way I'm not, actually.

'We're learning to find ourselves in the midst of changing circumstances. Part of me thinks it is a privilege to be with someone long enough that you go through these changes with them.

'So yes, I love him very much even though we've got stuff going on.'

Amanda revealed in October that her husband Harley has been suffering from Parkinson's disease for years.

She shared the news during an episode of her podcast Double A Chattery.

The breakfast radio host, who has been married to Oliver since 1989, explained her husband received the diagnosis about six years ago, but the couple had only now decided to discuss the disease publicly.

Parkinson's is an incurable brain disorder characterised by uncontrollable movements, including shaking, stiffness, and challenges with balance and coordination.

Unfortunately, the symptoms of Parkinson's tend to worsen over time.

In January, Amanda broke down during her Jonesy and Amanda WSFM breakfast show over her husband's illness.

The pair were discussing 'great Aussie songs that you make you feel good' for their Australia Day-themed Fight for Your Flashback segment when Amanda burst into tears, as she said some songs reminded her of Harley.

Amanda shares her sons Liam, 24, and Jack with husband Harley.

The TV and radio star has previously admitted she feels 'raw' whenever she thinks about her past struggles to fall pregnant - She underwent IVF to conceive in the late 1990s, but it didn't work straight away.
