R.J. Decker is back on the case, as season 2's release date has been revealed by ABC.

ABC's crime drama burst onto the scene when it premiered in March 2026, quickly winning over both critics and viewers with its clever mysteries and charismatic lead. The network wasted no time renewing it for a second season in May, with production kicking off in July, returning to the Wilmington, North Carolina area. Now, season 2's release date has been revealed.

ABC has announced that R.J. Decker season 2 will premiere on Tuesday, September 15, at 10:00 p.m. on ABC, following the Dancing with the Stars (two-night premiere) at 8:00 p.m. The network announced several fall 2026 premiere dates, including a two-episode premiere of Scrubs season 2 on September 30 and Grey's Anatomy season 23 on October 15.

On Thursday, October 15, the 9-1-1 franchise will return with the flagship 9-1-1 at 8 p.m., followed by 9-1-1: Nashville at 9 p.m. The night concludes with Grey's Anatomy season 23 at 10 p.m. All shows will stream the next day on Hulu and Disney+.
