Pump.fun app passes Fomo in daily active traders on Solana

Pump.fun’s mobile app has done something it had never managed before. It pulled ahead of Fomo in daily active Solana traders, then stayed there for four consecutive days.

That matters because only a few weeks earlier, the gap between the two apps looked enormous. It was the kind of lead that usually takes months to close, not days.

From a 4-to-1 deficit to a photo finish

Rewind to October 17, 2026. On that day, Fomo logged 105,727 daily active users while Pump.fun’s app recorded 26,515.

Fomo had roughly four users for every one on Pump.fun.

By late October, the picture had changed dramatically. Daily active wallets on both platforms moved in a range of approximately 48,000 to 52,000, leaving the two apps close to level.

The flip came in the stretch leading up to late October 2026. Pump.fun’s app topped Fomo in daily active Solana traders for four straight days, marking the first time it had held the lead.

The scoreboard depends on which metric you check, though. As of October 25, 2026, Solana trading terminal figures showed Fomo with 52.3K daily active wallets against 48.4K for Pump.fun.

Users are one race, volume is another

Counting heads is only half of the story. Between October 21 and 24, Pump.fun’s trading volume approached 50% of Fomo’s, even as the two apps’ daily active trader counts became nearly equal.

Fomo also kept higher average swap sizes and a substantial lead in overall volume. A swap is a single trade of one token for another, so a bigger average swap means each Fomo trader is, on average, placing larger bets.

Revenue tells a similar tale. In September 2026, Fomo temporarily outperformed Pump.fun on daily revenue, reaching $1.76 million against Pump.fun’s $1.1 million.

Fomo also led on seven-day revenue during that month.

Two different pitches for the same trader

The two platforms come at the market from different angles. Pump.fun is a memecoin launchpad on Solana, a place where anyone can spin up a new token and where traders go to catch those tokens early.

Fomo positions itself as a social trading platform. The draw is seeing what other traders are doing and following along, a bit like a group chat that can also execute your trades.

Pump.fun’s response to Fomo’s rise has been to go mobile. Its trading app is the vehicle that closed the user gap, and the company is now layering on more features in an effort to keep traders inside its own ecosystem.

The additions on the roadmap include perpetuals, gacha mechanics and a cross-chain bridge. Perpetuals are derivatives contracts that let traders bet on price moves with leverage and no expiry date.

Gacha mechanics borrow from mobile gaming, where players spend to get randomized rewards. A cross-chain bridge lets users move assets between blockchains without leaving the app.

What this means for the Solana trading app race

The most immediate takeaway is that user loyalty in Solana trading apps looks thin. A lead of more than 79,000 daily users on October 17 shrank to a near tie within days.

For Pump.fun, the user win comes with an asterisk. Matching Fomo on headcount while running at around half its volume means the app is attracting smaller traders, or traders who are less active once they arrive.
