Prime Video's hit mystery series continues to hold on to the streaming service's charts, and it has just passed another milestone on its way to an already confirmed season 2. Being a streaming hit is not always confirmed to guarantee a show another season. For instance, Prime Video's slate of new series in 2026 has had quite a few hits get appointed for new episodes, including coming-of-age shows like Off Campus and Every Year After. However, some of Prime Video's best TV shows of the year so far, like Spider-Noir and Ride or Die, ended up being canceled despite trending on the streamer.
In the middle of that, Prime Video has taken a liking to mystery shows. The Sherlock Holmes prequel series Young Sherlock, which allows viewers to get to know the most famous detective in fiction as he takes on his first case, was a global hit. With talent like Guy Ritchie attached and led by Hero Fiennes Tiffin, Young Sherlock will return for season 2. Another Prime Video mystery series that debuted in 2026 and has met the same fate is Sterling Point, which mixes coming-of-age drama and mystery. Sterling Point is not only returning for season 2, but it keeps winning on streaming.
Sterling Point Continues To Entice Prime Video After 2 Months
Courtesy of PrimeAt the time of writing, Sterling Point has reached the milestone of 60 days on Prime Video's Top 10 TV shows chart in the United States. The new mystery series has been trending on the streaming service for longer than huge shows, such as Alan Ritchson's Reacher, as shown by data from FlixPatrol. Ritchson's action thriller is currently on a 53-day streak, while Sterling Point is exactly at 60 days. Right now, there is only one TV show on Prime Video nationwide to have a longer streak on the streamer's top TV chart than Sterling Point. That is Off Campus, at 144 days.
Not only is Sterling Point on a hot streak right now, but the new hit series led by Ella Rubin is not budging. Currently, Sterling Point stands as the 3rd most-watched TV show on Prime Video in the United States. Despite the fact that the show debuted on Prime Video on August 5, exactly two months ago, and all of season 1's eight episodes were released at once, Sterling Point is still one of the streamer's strongest performers. The only two shows ranking above Sterling Point on Prime Video in the US are Reacher, in 2nd, and Neagley, in 1st.
Where Did The Show Leave Off For Season 2?
In Sterling Point season 1, viewers watched as Rubin's Annie Jacobson and her twin brother, Keen Ruffalo's Connor, inherited their grandfather's island in Canada. With it came a set of mysteries, some of which were unraveled throughout the Prime Video series' first eight episodes. Sterling Point season 2 will continue to explore all the secrets the island holds after Annie decided to stay behind and keep digging, while Ramona, played by Amélie Hoeferle, left for New York City. The two characters have traded places, and that is where Sterling Point season 2 should pick back up.
