Prime Video is developing a live-action series based on a popular manga that will be ready to premiere in 2027.
Prime Video just revealed that it's working on a live-action adaptation of Saki Hiwatari's manga Please Save My Earth, which will debut in fall 2027. Alice Hirose is the star of the show, and Takahiro Miki is on board as the director and Nana Yamamoto as the screenwriter.
The story centers on a high school student named Arisu Sakaguchi, who realizes her peers have been having the same dreams as her, about living on a lunar base in a past life. She begins investigating the bizarre phenomenon, just as the boy who lives next door starts experiencing his own past-life dreams with a love connection to Arisu's past self, Mokuren. As Arisu continues her journey, she discovers shocking revelations about Mokuren.
The original sci-fi romance manga was first released in 1986 and ended in 1994, with 21 volumes being published during that time. More than 16 million copies of Please Save My Earth have been sold.
