In a night when much of the nation was holed up at home during Storm Austen, viewers were stunned on Friday to see two of the nation's most prominent figures dominating the primetime airwaves.
Prime Minister Andy Burnham was among the stars appearing on a special Celebrity Gogglebox in aid of Stand Up To Cancer, while Prince William made his debut on The Graham Norton Show.
Both figures were making the appearance in honour of good causes, with William also discussing his work with the Earthshot Prize.
Viewers were quick to praise the appearances as 'peak British,' with many in disbelief that such massive figures in royalty and politics were featuring on primetime just minutes apart.
They wrote on X: 'WHAT is going on TV tonight, the *actual* Prime Minister is on #Gogglebox (VERY iconic) AND the *actual actual* future KING of the United Kingdom is on #TheGrahamNortonShow WITH the QUEEN HERSELF Hannah Waddingham.
'Oh my God - I love being British;'

He appeared on the programme, alongside Liverpool City Region mayor Steve Rotherham, as part of the Stand Up To Cancer charity campaign.
Burnham defended his appearance on the TV show after Tory leader Kemi Badenoch accused him of dodging 'difficult' work to protect the UK.
The PM said he would 'make no apology' for trying to 'lead with a bit of lightness' after Mrs Badenoch questioned how he had the time to take part in the show.
Meanwhile His Royal Highness Prince William earned praise from viewers for his appearance on Graham Norton's chat show.
The future King, who was greeted by gasps when Norton announced his arrival, opened up about his unlikely childhood career ambitions, his love of football and the television programmes that have his children hooked.
William appeared entirely at ease with the teasing as he joined in the light-hearted conversation, in a rare glimpse of the man behind the royal title.
His appearance was intended to promote his Earthshot Prize, the environmental initiative he launched six years ago to support innovative solutions to some of the planet's biggest challenges.
His laid-back performance was welcomed by royal fans, with viewers praising the future monarch for appearing approachable and willing to poke fun at himself.
