Presley Gerber remembered as an 'angel' by ex Cameron Rorrison days after his death at 27 from suspected overdose

Presley Gerber's ex-girlfriend Cameron Rorrison has shared a heartfelt tribute following his shock death at 27.

The 28-year-old fashion and swimwear model, who dated the son of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber from May 2018 to March 2020, remembered him as 'an angel in this life.'

Presley died from a suspected overdose at a luxury rehab facility in Santa Monica, California on September 20.

Rorrison began by writing how 'difficult' it was to find the words 'as I feel like nothing I could say would ever do justice to the person Presley was. But I'd like for him to be remembered for a few things…

'Anyone who was lucky enough to have the gift of knowing Presley will know him and remember him for his wide open heart, his inspiring compassion, and incredible understanding,' she continued.

She praised him for his 'humanity' and for being 'honest and pure.'

'One of the most amazing things about him was his humanity and his unique way of making every person, no matter who, feel as brilliant and important as the next. An incredibly beautiful quality I have yet to see as honest and pure in another person since,' she shared.

Rorrison concluded: 'He was an angel in this life and will be in the next. I hope you can feel the outpouring of love up there.'

She wasn't the only ex-flame to look back on her time with Presley.

Charlotte D'Alessio, a Canadian model and influencer who also dated Presley from around 2018 to 2020, after being introduced by his sister, Kaia Gerber, highlighted their past 'pure love' in her tribute.

'Shared a pure love with you & for that I thank & honor your life. You deserved more time. You deserved more life. Very angry ab[out] this,' D'Alessio wrote.

Presley's last major romance was with model and Summer House alum Lexi Wood, who shared photos and videos from their time together in 2022.

'It's hard to put into words what it means to lose someone who was such a meaningful part of my life for so many years,' she wrote in the caption. 'Through every chapter and every version of our relationship, friendship was always at the core of it.'

Everyone who 'loved Presley and was loved by him' saw him as 'one of the kindest, most open, loving and courageous people,' Wood added.

Rorrison's post comes amid news that Presley has been cremated, according to a death certificate obtained by TMZ.

Presley was cremated at the Rose Family Funeral Home. His occupation was described as an entrepreneur who worked in mental health.

Crawford and Rande will reportedly keep their son's ashes at their Malibu home.

An autopsy has been completed but the cause of death is currently pending investigation as the medical examiner waits for test results, per the outlet.

Sources told TMZ that the family is planning funeral arrangements, and the service will be small with Forest Lawn and Malibu Presbyterian Church mentioned as possible locations.

The sources also told the news outlet that Presley was allegedly found in a bedroom, lying near the bed, inside the sober living home located in the high-end neighborhood of Santa Monica.

Presley had checked himself into Resolutions Living the day before on September 19 around 10pm, according to the LA Times. 

A source told Page Six that he 'seemed a little off in recent weeks,' like 'something was just not there,' and even though he was 'struggling with a lot of things… he wanted so, so badly to be free of his addictions.'

At approximately 9:35am on September 20, Santa Monica police and paramedics received an emergency 911 dispatch call reporting a cardiac arrest and a possible overdose.

Officers arrived to the facility and Presley was pronounced dead at 9:45am.

In a statement released on September 21, the Santa Monica Police Department confirmed that Presley was deceased when officers arrived at the facility.

Santa Monica Police Detectives 'are investigating the death as a suspected overdose,' the statement continued. 'At this time, there is no indication of foul play. The official cause and manner of death will be determined by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner. The investigation remains ongoing.'

Sources told TMZ that a doctor had been prescribing Presley ketamine despite knowing his past difficulties with the drug.

Ketamine can be used to treat drug addiction; however, that is not the use approved by the FDA. 

Presley's close friends are said to be angry that the doctor had prescribed the dissociative anesthetic to him while knowing that it had been a regular problem for him, according to TMZ.

Presley followed his supermodel mom into modeling at age 15 but stepped back around 2019 to focus on business ideas and his personal life.

The model was open about his long-term struggles with depression, severe anxiety, panic attacks and addiction.

He hosted a video series on Instagram to discuss his personal experiences in the hope that he could help other people who were suffering to feel less alone.

In June, Presley appeared at a panel discussion in Malibu, California, alongside his parents, where he offered advice on how to boost one's mental health.

'Move your body regardless of how you're feeling. Get outside. Get some sun. If you don't feel like moving, lay on the grass,' he told the audience, per Today.

It was to be his last public appearance.

Earlier this year, he posted about having a 'Pre-ibogaine flood dose' at a Mexican treatment clinic, a single, high-dose administration of the naturally occurring psychoactive substance ibogaine.

Ibogaine is derived from an African shrub and is reported to help with withdrawal symptoms. The high dose is designed to induce a profound 'reset.'

Presley's parents and his sister Kaia praised him for his 'courage' in response to his post about starting the treatment in March.

Crawford commented: 'You are a warrior! Walked thru the fire to find yourself! So proud!' while Kaia added: 'That's my brother I am so damn proud.'

And his father wrote: 'I'm so proud of you and your courage. Facing what's hard takes real strength and watching you find your way back to yourself is everything. I love you so much.’

Presley's sister, Kaia, openly discussed her brother's decade-long struggles in an interview with Vogue published in August.

'When something like that happens in a family, it kind of levels everyone,' she told the publication.

Kaia commended her brother's willingness to be completely transparent about his struggles.

'My parents for most of our lives were very, very private and didn't share anything – and now we have this absolute teacher, my brother, who says, "I'm gonna be very human for everyone,"' she said.

Added Kaia: 'There's only so much you can hide from the world. And trying to put a lid on something just makes the person feel like you're ashamed of them.'
