Presidents Day is essentially here already, marking the first major sale event of 2026. All your favorite retailers celebrate by showering us with deep discounts across tech, home goods and other big-ticket items like appliances. If you've been looking to buy something, this is your chance to do so for less.
The entire team here at CNET is going to be hunting deals across the Presidents Day weekend and bringing them to you via the magic of the written word. We're going to be tracking the best deals we find across the event right here in our live blog. You'll see many faces popping in and out, all of which are experts at finding great deals or talking about the products in those deals.
Best Presidents Day deals overall
- Apple Watch Series 11: $299 (save $100). The Apple Watch Series 11 is Apple's latest flagship wearable. It's also our all-around favorite smartwatch of 2026.
- Meta Quest 3S, Batman bundle: $249 (save $50). The Quest 3S is one of our favorite affordable VR headsets. It has great graphics, especially considering the price.
- Samsung Galaxy Ring: $300 (save $100). Keep track of all your health and fitness metrics from heartbeat to sleep. My favorite part is that you don't need an additional subscription to use the Ring's features.
Best tech deals
- Apple AirPods 4 with ANC: $140 (save $40). The fourth-generation AirPods are lighter and fit a wider range of ears more comfortably than their predecessors. They're Apple's first open-style buds with noise cancellation and offer better sound.
- Insignia 50-Inch F50 4K smart TV: $170 (save $130). This TV has a great size, loads of features and a good picture. It's also 43% off right now, so getting it for $170 is a chance you shouldn't pass up.
- Acer Chromebook 315: $159 (save $70). At less than $160, this is one of the most affordable options out there right now. It's great for web basics like checking your email and scrolling through social media, but not much else.
Best home tech and appliance deals
- KitchenAid Artisan Series tilt-head stand mixer: $380 (save $120). This 5-quart machine is the gold standard of mixers. It's KitchenAid's best-known product and rightfully so.
- Ninja Crispi glass air fryer: $160 (save $20). Ninja really changed the game with this air fryer. Not only does it look beautiful on your counter, but you can also watch your food cooking from every angle.
- Ring Battery Doorbell: $60 (save $40). This Ring doorbell is an excellent way to add a bit more security and convenience to your home. Right now, you can do so at a 40% discount.
- Samsung side-by-side fridge/freezer: $1,300 (save $300). This fridge-freezer comes with an indoor ice machine, $300 off the base price and a $200 gift coupon when you pick it up. Plus, the black looks fire.

Appliance sales are going hard this year

Presidents Day is best known as the appliance deals holiday. I've seen some really good stuff, especially from Best Buy, including this LG smart front-loading washer that's down to just $750. That's a $450 savings on a washer that can tell your phone when the laundry is done.
Front-loaders are especially helpful for those with a little less space, because they're stackable. You can have a dryer on top of your washing machine and keep them in a small closet. This particular washer's cleaning volume is 4.5 cubic feet, which is small compared to a top-loader, but perfect for a small family. Just don't throw your comforter in there.
Our favorite budget video doorbell just got even cheaper

What kind of deals can we expect?

We expect tons of items to go on sale, including TVs, tech and smart home gadgets, home appliances, mattresses, furniture and more. As with all sales, some products are worth buying more than others.
Mattresses will likely have the most savings and deals during the weekend. In past years, we've seen some mattress companies offer Black Friday-level pricing and other impressive bargains during Presidents Day, making this the big-ticket item of the weekend.
Winter items should see a huge price drop as well. As we near the end of the winter season, retailers are trying to clear their winter stock to make room for warm-weather items. You may see discounted snow shovels and ice scrapers, as well as winter coats and boots.
