Pokémon Winds and Waves will be arriving in 2027, and while the first official trailer for the game confirmed the new Gen 10 starters and some returning Pokémon, we don't have all the answers yet. That's naturally led to a lot of speculation on what to expect in Winds and Waves, but perhaps no rumor has been more persistent than the one stating we're getting a new Eevee evolution for Gen 10.

A wild Eevee begins to dance.

The highlighted portion of the description states the camera "features Eevee and all its currently discovered Evolutions with their Pokédex numbers." It's odd wording, to be sure, especially considering "all its currently discovered Evolutions" implies that there are more Eeveelutions out there we haven't seen yet.

"Is it just weird wording? Confirmation that a new evolution is on its way?" ForTheLastTime- wrote on Reddit. "My hopium is a new Eevee evolution! I would love to see a Fighting or a Poison type."

Comments are pretty varied in the Reddit thread. Some users are inclined to believe this is basically confirmation a new Eevee evolution for Gen 10 is most certainly on the way, while others have explained it as just "weird wording" or "common practice."

"That's how they normally refer to some Pokémon for some reason," reads the top comment from a user called Pale_Song902. "In the Pokédex they commonly use 'currently discovered' because new gens keep adding more stuff (POTENTIALLY, not always)."

While this Target listing is most likely just the brand being cautious, it's still an exciting idea that there are (theoretically, at least) other Eevee evolutions out there. A Flying-type evolution has been heavily rumored, but there are a number of Types that Pokémon games haven't used yet, so the original poster's Fighting- or Poison-type dreams may be realized when Gen 10 releases.

So far, it seems like fans won't be getting any more Pokémon Winds and Waves news in 2026. A number of high-profile insiders and leakers have suggested it'll be next year before we get another peak at the Gen 10 titles, which are officially announced for 2027 but nothing more specific behind that. Hopefully, when the games are shown off again, we'll have a nice new Eeveelution or two as well.
