Several decks have become prominent in Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket, dominating the meta and shining in competitive battles, such as an Exeggutor ex Deck. With the release of the Mythical Island expansion for the mobile game, a new Exeggutor ex deck has emerged as one of the most consistent and aggressive options to build. From the game's early days, players have recognized the immense power and high damage output of Exeggutor ex.
With several fresh Mythical Island cards added to the mix, this deck could be a remarkably strong choice for competitive play. Several decks adopt an aggressive, fast-paced, high-damage approach, but none are as relentless and consistent as the Exeggutor ex deck. Combine this with its supporter cards' healing and card-cycling capabilities, and you will be impressed with the serious power and versatility this deck offers. Furthermore, this deck is exceptionally easy to use, making it a great choice for both seasoned players and newcomers to deck-building.
Exeggutor Ex Cards List
This Deck Uses Several Powerful Grass-Type Pokémon That Synergize Well Together
This deck utilizes the strengths of several impressive Grass-type Pokémon, a selection of versatile item and supporter cards, and a single Psychic-type Pokémon to put immense pressure on the opposition. Exeggutor ex is the standout card, with the Genetic Apex card having huge damage potential and a solid 160 HP. It can use “Tropical Swing,” which hits for a minimum of 40 damage. However, this attack lets you flip a coin, and if it lands on heads, it deals an additional 40 damage—bringing the potential total to 80 damage.

Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket has an incredibly potent new card combination that can literally max out damage in the right circumstances.
The Mythical Island variant of Exeggutor is a crucial Pokémon in this deck. This Stage one card has 130 HP and uses “Psychic” for at least 80 damage. It also deals an extra 20 damage for each energy attached to your opponent’s Active Pokémon, making it a powerful offensive tool. Its 130 HP provides the durability needed to withstand attacks and stay in play longer. Celebi ex and Mew ex further enhance the deck’s offensive capabilities. Celebi ex, a basic card, uses “Powerful Bloom” to deal 50 damage per attached Energy, while Mew ex’s “Genome Hacking” mimics the opponent’s attacks.

Other cards to note are the pre-evolution to Exeggutor ex and TCG Pocket's Supporter cards. There are two versions of Exeggcute – the Genetic Apex and Mythical Island versions. For this deck, the Genetic Apex is the most appropriate option. However, this can be decided based on your preference. Exeggcute is a basic Pokémon with 50 HP and a 20-damage attack called “Seed Bomb.” This card is somewhat weak but will be evolved into Exeggutor or Exeggutor ex as soon as possible. There are also several supporter cards in this deck. Erika is the most important, healing Grass-type cards by 50.
Best Strategy To Win With An Exeggutor Ex Deck
Energy Can Be Strategically Placed For Quick Success In Battles
This deck plays differently from the commonly used Celebi ex deck despite using several similar cards. Rather than relying on Superior to power up Celebi ex, this deck pushes Exeggutor ex to the forefront. You should focus on getting Exeggutor ex into the Active Spot quickly. This is because it only requires one Grass Energy to start using “Tropical Swing,” putting pressure on the opponent from the early rounds. Exeggutor ex is highly fast and disruptive, forcing the opponent to prioritize healing or sacrificing their lower HP cards.

Pokémon TCG Pocket: This Poliwrath Deck Will Make Opponents Think Twice Before Attacking
Poliwrath takes centre stage in this deck guide, using its unique abilities to disrupt opponents’ strategies and dominate Pokémon TCG Pocket.
This low-cost attack gives you the freedom to place your other energy elsewhere. Since the Mythical Island Exeggutor and Mew ex have attacks requiring multiple energy, they need time to charge up on the bench. Once charged, they can be swapped in for Exeggutor ex, which may have taken significant damage by then. Erika can also be used to extend Exeggutor ex's longevity, giving you more time to charge Mew ex and Exeggutor.
Erika's ability to heal Grass-type Pokémon by 50 HP is invaluable for keeping Exeggutor ex on the field longer. By using Erika effectively, you can extend the life of your key Pokémon, giving you more time to charge up other powerful cards like Mew ex and Mythical Island Exeggutor.
Alternatively, this energy can be attached to Celebi ex. With each energy attached, Celebi ex becomes stronger, dealing 50 damage for every energy it accumulates. As Exeggutor ex acts as a tank in the Active Spot, you are charging up an incredibly powerful card for the finisher. Overall, you have several avenues to take when using this deck, such as choosing which cards to bench depending on what hand you are given. To succeed, focus on Exeggutor ex's high damage output and tank-like durability to secure victories in Pokémon TCG Pocket.
