Despite receiving mixed reviews from critics upon its launch back in 2022, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet has had something of a renaissance in recent years thanks to its regular events that see players walk away with heaps of rewards. As such, another of these events has just begun, allowing users to earn a significant amount of XP, Candy to level up their Pokémon, treasures to be sold at Pokémon centers, items to improve 'mon's stats, and even Fighting Tera Shards to change a Pokémon's Tera Type.

With the Terastal phenomenon, which allowed Pokémon to transform into a brand-new 'Tera Type', being a new feature for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, many users would agree that this is definitely the game's main selling point, and Nintendo seems to agree by adding a brand-new Tera Raid event to the game.

Despite receiving mixed reviews upon its launch due to its myriad of technical issues, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet was praised for its various story aspects, as well as the addition of 120 new Pokémon, two new regional forms, and even time-displaced 'mon known as Paradox Pokémon. However, it is the Scarlet and Violet's addition of post-game Tera Raids that has kept its popularity alive, and now, four years on from launch, a brand-new Tera Raid has just gone live.

From Thursday, June 11, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. PDT to Thursday, June 18, 2026, at 4:59 p.m. PDT, the Cinderace 7-star Tera Raid Battle is available to take on in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Allowing players to team up to take down the formidable Cinderace, the Striker Pokémon will appear at black Tera Raid crystals around the map, boasting the Mightiest Mark to prove just how strong they are.

If a Tera Raid Crystal boasts a beacon of light, heading there will allow you to start the battle. However, in order to take part, you will have to make sure that you have followed these steps:

  • Select Poké Portal in the X menu.
  • Select Mystery Gift.
  • Select Check Poké Portal News.

Additionally, players will only be able to take part in the Cinderace 7-star Tera Raid Battle if they have completed Pokémon Scarlet and Violet's post-game content. However, if you have a friend who is up-to-date on the content, you can join them instead, but be aware that you will only be able to defeat Cinderace once per save file.

As mentioned, toppling the formidable foe will bag you heaps of rewards which will make your Pokémon a lot stronger. Additionally, this Tera Raid Battle ends on 18 June, so you had better hurry if you wish to take part.
