Well, that's me back in. Just when I thought my time with Pokémon Pokopia might be coming to an end, Nintendo has unveiled a whole bunch of new stuff launching this August.

First up is a free update that'll make it possible for all players to dive beneath the waves in order to walk - and build - on the sea bed. Which would have made my Bleak Beach renovations much easier earlier this year. This is due to arrive this August, and will be accompanied by Pokopia's first bit of paid DLC.

Details are limited at present, but we do know the paid DLC introduces Bubbly Basin, a brand-new town featuring new Pokemon, outfits, and furniture. Additionally, Nintendo has revealed this is the first of three chunks of paid DLC coming to Pokémon Pokopia as part of a new Expansion Pass.

Nintendo hasn't said anything about the other two bits, but they're coming in late 2026 and early next year - and the pass itself will be available to purchase via the eShop starting today.
