Bulbasaur's jump rope contest takes Pokémon Pokopia's casual minigame to new heights. This time, Bulbasaur challenges you to push further and master your rope-jumping skills. Take part in the contest and entertain the other Pokémon in your village who will gladly stop to watch your performance.
The event starts at 5 a.m. on April 19 and runs until April 26 at 4:59 a.m. based on the Nintendo Switch 2's time and date. This means that, if you want to, you can time travel to enjoy the event sooner.
Participating in this event does more than indulge your Pokémon's wishes. By achieving certain goals while trying to set new records, you are rewarded for your effort. Below, you'll learn how to participate and the rewards for Bulbasaur's rope contest event in Pokémon Pokopia.
How the Bulbasaur's jump rope contest event works in Pokémon Pokopia
As the name implies, Bulbasaur's jump rope contest is an event organized by Bulbasaur in which you must play the jump rope minigame. When you log in for the first time during the period of the event, a message will prompt saying that "a Pokémon is the talk of the town." Travel to a Pokémon Center. If you go to a rebuilt center, Professor Tangrowth will tell you that Bulbasaur is looking for you.

You receive prizes based on how many successful jumps you perform, and you can also play with friends. Participating in the event in groups doesn't affect the rewards.
To start the contest, talk to Bulbasaur again and choose the "Is a jump rope contest going on right now?" option. Next, agree to try a new record to start the minigame, which involves pressing R at the right time to jump over Bulbasaur's vine.

The trickiest part is when you hit 50, because it will slow down the vine instead of making it go faster. You are rewarded according to your highest score, and you receive the prizes only once. You can play the minigame as many times as you want, so take your time.
