Pokémon Go Community Day schedule (September 2024)

Pokémon Go frequently hosts limited-time events, typically only lasting a day or even one hour. That’s why it’s crucial to keep track of the game’s event schedules, or else you may lose out on an exclusive new team member. To stay updated, here’s the current Pokémon Go Community Day schedule for September 2024.

According to the official Pokémon Go page, the next Community Day will be Sept. 14, 2024, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. local time. The spotlight will be on Ponyta and Galarian Ponyta, where you’ll encounter these creatures more frequently in the wilds. If you catch enough of them, it may result in a Shiny variant.

Ponyta is a Fire Type Pokémon that was first introduced in Generation 1. Take advantage of its moves like Ember, Fire Blast, and Flame Charge to dominate the battlefield. Additionally, trainers can discover its Galarian form, a regional variant of this particular Pokémon. Instead of the standard Fire Type, Ponyta changes into a Psychic with this unique alternative.

Once the Pokémon Go September Community Day begins, you can evolve Ponyta or Galarian Ponyta to gain its form, Rapidash or Galarian Rapidash, with a Charged Attack Wild Charge. With this ability, the Pokémon unleashes 100 power in Trainer Battles and 90 power in Gyms/Raids. Thanks to a time extension, those who miss out on this event still have the chance to evolve the creature five hours after its conclusion.

Similar to past Pokémon Go Community Days, a Special Research Story will be available to play. Unlocking it costs one dollar (US) and provides an exclusive Ponyta event.

Ponyta and Galarian Ponyta Community Day event bonuses

While the Community Day is active, you can earn the following rewards:

• 2x Catch Candy
• 3x Stardust
• 2x chances to gain Candy XL for Trainers Level 31 and up
• Lure Modules duration increase (up to three hours)
• Incense duration increase (lasts for three hours except for Daily Adventure Incense)
• Snapshot rewards
• An additional Special Trade (maximum two a day)
• 50 percent Stardusct reduction costs for Trades

Most bonuses will only be available for the Community Day’s three-hour duration. However, the Special Trades and Stardust discount will have an extension to give you more time.

Once the Community Day ends, tune in for another adventure with a time-limited Four Star Raid Battle. Go against Ponyta and Galarian Ponyta to spawn more of them for an additional 30 minutes. Then, you can start looking forward to the following Community Days, which are already set for the beginning of October and November.
