EXCLUSIVE: Pocket.watch is partnering with a lineup of popular creators and YouTube stars, including Topper Guild and JJ & Mikey, to bring their content to market.
The company has added programming from eight well-known creators to its catalog and is now selling their content. For the creators it opens up new distribution opportunities, and for buyers, the chance to add creator fare with proven fan-appeal to their schedules or streaming service.
Topper Guild has about 87M subscribers and JJ & Mikey 19M. Other creators and brands adding their content to the pocket.watch distribution lineup include Lana’s Life, DeeDee Show, Wands and Wings, Fun Time With Soso, Nick and Poli, and English Tree. Cumulatively, the new cohort has 132M followers.
These creators join others on, and having content distributed by, pocket.watch including Ryan’s World, Kids Diana Show, Tyler and Snowi, Lively Lewis, Toys and Colors and Mackenzie Turner.
“This is a breakthrough opportunity for programmers looking to attract and engage teens and families with scaled collections of sensational, premium-ready shows,” said David B. Pocket.watch, which counts Paramount among its backers, has been bridging the worlds of YouTube and traditional TV and streaming. It has expanded distribution of it slate of creator-based fare to outlets including Hulu, Peacock and Amazon Kids+, and recently started work on a creator-led entertainment show Rabbit Hole, which will be on Hulu in the U.S.
