MLB The Show is coming to iOS and Android. Sony has revealed MLB The Show Mobile, which it says is “a new standalone experience built from the ground up to deliver realistic baseball gameplay on mobile devices.”

The game is live now only in the Philippines (here’s a Google Play link for the game), and Sony plans to “expand availability to more players around the world,” though it has “no set timeline for expansion,” according to an FAQ. It’s optimized for the iPhone 16 “or comparable” and the “Samsung Galaxy S25, Sony Xperia V, or comparable,” Sony says. Higher-end devices will be able to take advantage of “enhanced graphics, increased frame rates, and higher resolutions.” But because it’s a new, standalone game, it won’t have crossplay with other platforms.

The reveal of MLB The Show Mobile follows another surprise foray from PlayStation into mobile: last month’s announcement of Rachet & Clank: Ranger Rumble, a mobile arena shooter set in the Ratchet & Clank universe. And Sony signaled years ago that was getting more interested in mobile games — it created a PlayStation Studios Mobile Division in 2022.
