The Asus ROG Strix G16 (2025) comes in a gamer-centric, flashy chassis, with some slight RGB trim. Inside the laptop is where it counts, and this machine has some very competent parts that go above and beyond just gaming. AMD's Ryzen 9 9955HX processor is a 16-core, 32-thread monster that's ideal for performing productivity work with an emphasis on multithreaded applications and workloads. Having this CPU paired with an Nvidia RTX 5070 means that it's still a great machine for gaming, too.

Other features of the Asus ROG Strix G16 include 32GB of DDR5 memory, a 1TB SSD for OS and storage, and an impressive screen that uses the ROG Nebula display. This screen has an ultra-fast 240Hz refresh rate and speedy 3ms response time; ideal for gaming, content creation, and watching your favorite media.

We reviewed the Asus ROG Strix G16 (2025) back in July of this year, but the unit we reviewed has slightly different specifications than today's model. Our review unit used a Ryzen 9955HX3D processor and a slightly more powerful RTX 5070 Ti graphics card. Apart from that, the rest of the system was identical. We really liked the colorful and fast display of the laptop, and also the solid performance bang for your buck, but we weren't fans of the speaker system or the lack of a toolless bottom tray, which was on the ROG Strix Scar 16.

Overall, this is a very competent gaming laptop that's good for both gaming and productivity work. If you can grab it for this price in this limited sale, then it's definitely worth considering.
