Persona 6 Excitement Grows as Atlus Announces Return of Major Event

Persona Super Live returns for the first time since 2022

At the conclusion of the Tokyo stop of the Persona Live Tour 2026, publisher Atlus made the shocking announcement that it is bringing back Persona Super Live. The concert series based on the Persona role-playing game series was last held in 2022 and could be the perfect venue for the company to share more news about the highly-anticipated Persona 6.

The official Atlus Game Music account shared the announcement in a post on X. Persona Super Live 2027 will last three days, from March 19–21, and will be held at Yokohama Buntai. The event is typically just a big concert involving performances of songs from across the Persona series. That may not be exciting to those who can't make the trip to see it live, but past iterations of the event have included major game announcements. Combined with the show's surprise return after nearly five years, fans hope Atlus will share Persona 6 news.

The timing of the 2027 event does lend some credence to that idea. Persona 4 Revival, a remake of the 2008 original, is set to be released on Feb. 18, 2027. Atlus has made it pretty clear that it doesn't intend to share much information about Persona 6 before the Persona 4 remake's release. As the Super Live will occur in March, one month after Revival's release, it means Atlus should be gearing up to promote the next mainline entry in the Persona series.

What do we know about Persona 6?

So far, Atlus has only shared one teaser trailer for Persona 6. It confirmed the game's signature color will be green and teased a more somber story. In the teaser, we briefly see a field full of gravestones before the shadow of a hand looms over one special tomb that is larger than the rest. A flash of strange images occurs and then the trailer ends. There is always the possibility this won't end up reflecting the final game. Remember Persona 5's reveal trailer?

Atlus hasn't confirmed a release date either, though there have been some clues. Naturally, the game will release after Persona 4 Revival. It has been revealed that the game will receive physical releases for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2. As Sony has announced plans to end physical disc production for new games in January 2028, this indicates Atlus will likely release Persona 6 before the end of 2027.
