In the one corner of their house, Perrie and Axel were seen posing in front of the large balloon wall which featured a cardboard cut out of the Marvel character.

The Forget About Us hitmaker wrote: '3 ALREADY! Where does the time go? It feels like 2 seconds ago I was holding you in my arms for the first time!

'The joy you bring to our lives is wild! The biggest personality, I am blessed to have you! Happy birthday to my greatest achievement!'

Perrie's former Little Mix band mate Leigh-Anne Pinnock quickly took to the comments and wrote: 'Happy Birthday Axel'.

Perrie also shared a number of adorable photos of Axel playing in their garden on an electric mini quad bike.

It comes after Perrie revealed the reason why she isn't in a rush to get married to Alex.

The couple are yet to set a date after the footballer proposed two years ago.

'I feel like we’ve already planned it. In our minds we know and we talk about it a lot – Alex more so than me actually which is really cute because he wants it to pop off,' Perrie said during an Australian radio interview.

'He wants a party, a performer, he wants it to be a big thing. I’m like, I know who I want as bridesmaids and this and that. It’s all kind of set in stone but we haven’t actually planned it yet.

Perrie and Alex welcomed their son Axel together back in August 2021 and the songstress, 31, added she wants to wait until he gets older so he can play a big role in the wedding

'There’s a lot going on in my life right now, I’ve got so much. We’ve said about waiting for Axel to be older and then he can be a pageboy or whatever. It makes more sense.'

Perrie, who has launched her solo career with Forget About Us and Tears, also revealed she is yet to finish her album.

She said: 'I’m annoying but I’m still working on things. You get one chance and it has to be perfect. I feel like it is done but there’s little tweaks I want to do still.

'I will get there, it will definitely be pre-order this year I think.'

Last month, Perrie dropped her second single Tears, the follow-up to April's Forget About Us.

Her debut solo track was number one for two weeks on the Big Top 40 chart and peaked inside the top 10 of the Official Charts.

Where Forget About Us was an Ed Sheeran pop ballad with country music influence, Tears is smooth soul with an '80s vibe.

In a recent podcast  Perrie revealed the 'horrendous' regret Little Mix had that almost caused them to get back together prematurely following their split in 2022.

She admitted her and her fellow bandmates Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall initially panicked after they 'put their foot down' to go solo.

The couple are yet to set a date but have said they want their son Axel to play a vital role, she said: 'I feel like we’ve already planned it. He wants a party, a performer, he wants it to be a big thing. It’s all kind of set in stone but we haven’t actually planned it yet'

The band formed alongside Jesy Nelson on The X Factor in 2011, going on to win the show and achieve worldwide success.

However, after over a decade of working hard, Perrie admitted the girls were left 'bored out of our minds' after their split with all the free time they suddenly had.

The mother-of-one said that her, Leigh-Anne, 32, and Jade, 31, were texting each other saying they were 'sick' of sitting around.

She recalled: 'I remember we sat at home and we were in a WhatsApp group and we were like, I'm bored. What are you up to today?

'And Leigh-Anne would be like, "I'm actually sick of this." And Jade's like, "Yeah, why did we push for this again?"

'And I'm like, "We've done it now, we have to see it through." Cause we were like, should we go back? Like, should we just, it was so weird. It was like, that was abnormal to us.

'We were bored out of our minds, it was horrendous and now I love doing nothing. Like I'm really good at it. So I don't think I'd like struggle that much. I love working and I love also not working. So I think it's a good balance.'
