According to The Hollywood Reporter, four new stars have joined the cast of Percy Jackson season 2. Rosemarie DeWitt (The Boys, Mad Men) will guest star as C.C., a stylish New Age-esque guru who Percy and crew come across on their quest. Aleks Paunovic (Snowpiercer, Van Helsing) steps into the role of the cyclops Polyphemus, who guards the coveted Golden Fleece. Kevin Chacon (Jessica Jones) will replace Andrew Alvarez as another son of Hermes, Chris Rodriguez, while Beatrice Kitsos (iZombie) rounds out the cast as the newly created character Alison Simms, described as "a Camp Half-Blood 'graduate' who lives in the human world, but is a true believer in the world Kronos is promising" and teams with Luke.
What Percy Jackson Season 2's New Cast Members Mean
New Faces Could Shake Up Camp Half-Blood
The addition of four new cast members continues Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ expansion of Rick Riordan’s mythological world. Key antagonists from the series' second book, The Sea of Monsters, are slowly being brought to life with Paunovic's portrayal of Polyphemus, an ancient cyclops blinded by Odysseus, and DeWitt’s C.C., whose lighthearted composure seems to be hiding something much more sinister for Percy and Annabeth to uncover on their journey to reclaiming the Golden Fleece. Thankfully, the two will find an ally in Percy's half-brother and cyclops, Tyson, played by Daniel Diemer.

Rick 'Riordan's Percy Jackson books brought me joy with their epic hero, and I'm so glad that the show will continue to adapt the best bits of them.
As Luke's numbers grow among disillusioned half-bloods and demigods, Kronos’ promise of absolute power raises the stakes for the young heroes of Percy Jackson season 2. Kitsos will play Alison Simms, a character created specifically for the Disney+ series and former Camp Half-Blood graduate who upholds Kronos’s vision of a new Golden Age, though only for those who agree to serve him. While a widening chasm continues to divide the demigods, the fantasy series' sophomore season appears poised to stick to Greek mythology's constantly changing loyalties and bring Percy even closer to the unfolding consequences of the Oracle's Great Propechy.
