The TV adaptation of Percy Jackson and the Olympians has been a hit for Disney+, with the first season becoming the streamer's biggest series of 2024. There was an almost-two-year wait for the second season to be released. However, the upcoming installment will arrive on the streaming platform less than a year later.
Now, with four months to go until its November 20 premiere date, Disney+ has shared the Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 3 teaser trailer, which teases what fans of the fantasy franchise can expect as author Rick Riordan and his co-creator Jonathan E. Steinberg adapt The Titan's Curse, the third book in the bestselling series.

The 30-second teaser shows Percy bearing the weight of the Titan's Curse. He admits he knew the risks of what he was getting himself into, "but if I needed to sacrifice myself to save the world, to save my friends, was it really a choice?" The trailer ends with Percy yelling out in pain.
A clip from the Percy Jackson season 3 premiere was also revealed at Comic-Con. In the video, Thalia battles a troll inside a parking garage while looking for Luke. Her chances of prevailing aren't looking good, but Percy shows up and manages to defeat the troll.
Annabeth then reveals herself; she's looking for help as she tries to get Bianca and Nico Di Angelo, Hades' half-god children, to safety. Percy doesn't actually want Thalia to be involved in this quest now that he knows she's looking for Luke. Instead of helping Bianca and Nico, Thalia instead storms off in a stolen car, leaving Percy and Annabeth behind.
There were also some major details revealed during the Percy Jackson panel at Comic-Con, chief among them that the role of Hercules has been cast, and an announcement will be made soon.
Walker Scobell, who plays the titular demigod, claimed that Percy Jackson season 3 will be the "most book accurate season so far," and that the eighth episode will center on the winter solstice and feature all the gods.
The cast and creative team can't wait for everyone to see the Junkyard of the Gods on-screen. Episode 7 will be must-see TV for fans, and the Hoover Dam scenes involved a giant set piece.
Executive producer and co-showrunner Dan Shotz revealed that Annabeth is featured prominently in Percy Jackson season 3 because of the strong reception from fans, even though the character isn't in the book The Titan's Curse all that much. "Annabeth is separated from the group. We are gonna open up the world and explore where Annabeth is and give a new look into that. It’s been nice to expand on that," he said.
Shotz is also very excited for fans to see the Hunters of Artemis, saying, "That took so much incredible work from our costume and makeup [team] to make them look so awesome and bada**. I can't wait for you to see them and how they work together."
Disney renewed Percy Jackson for a third season several months before season 2 had even been released. At the very end of the Percy Jackson season 2 finale, the show teased it would be returning in 2026, with filming getting underway in August 2025 and ending this past spring.
Scobell stars as Percy alongside a cast that includes Leah Sava Jeffries, Aryan Simhadri, Charlie Bushnell, Dior Goodjohn, Daniel Diemer, Glynn Turman, Nick Boraine, Jason Mantzoukas and Tamera Smart.
Joining them for Percy Jackson season 3 are Levi Chrisopulos, Olive Abercrombie, Dafne Keen, Saara Chaudry, Kate McKinnon, Holt McCallany, David Costabile, Jesse L. Martin, Ming-Na Wen, Jennifer Beals and Hubert Smielecki.
Behind the scenes, James Bobin is serving as one of the directors of season 3, with Craig Silverstein, Albert Kim, Tamara Becher-Wilkinson, Shae Worthy and Albert Kim writing the episode scripts.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 3 premieres Friday, November 20 on Disney+.
