Patrick Muldoon’s Cause Of Death Revealed

The cause of death for Patrick Muldoon has been reported after the actor died at age 57.

The Days of Our Lives star died of a myocardial infarction, otherwise known as a heart attack, with his death certificate listing a pulmonary embolism and hereditary coagulopathy, a genetic issue that results in issues with blood clotting, as underlying causes.

Muldoon’s death certificate also noted that he was cremated on Tuesday, according to People.

Earlier this month, Deadline reported that Muldoon died of a heart attack at age 57 on Sunday, April 19.

Born Sept. 27, 1968, Muldoon was known for playing Austin Reed on Days of Our Lives from 1992 to 1995, later reprising the role in 2011. He also played Melrose Place villain Richard Hart from 1995 to ’96, as well as antagonist Zander Barcalow in Starship Troopers (1997).

Muldoon’s peers and co-stars like Denise Richards and Lisa Rinna were among those to pay tribute after his death.
