Paris Hilton has fired back at critics branding her a 'narcissist' as she responded to the huge backlash over her family's Beauty and the Beast Halloween costumes on Wednesday.
The star, 45, has been fiercely slammed online after she posed in an extravagant princess costume while her young kids were dressing up as side characters for the holiday.
She dressed up as Princess Belle from the Disney movie Beauty and the Beast, donning an eye-popping yellow dress, while her husband, Carter Reum, was dressed as The Beast, wearing blue and yellow dress clothes and a monstrous mask.
But it was her two kids' costumes that really caught the internet's attention. Her son, Phoenix, three, was dressed as the candelabra Lumiere, while her daughter, London, two, was the teacup Chip.
Some social media users were outraged over her decision to dress as the 'main character' instead of her kids, and accused her of 'stealing the spotlight' away from the youngsters.
But Paris has now responded to the haters in the comments section of her Instagram, saying she had simply dressed them up in what they had asked for.

She pointedly wrote: 'Beauty and the Beast is one of their favorite movies. London said she wanted to dress up as Chip. She said it was her favorite character in the movie.'
Clearly annoyed, fans previously took to her comments section about the outfits, saying: 'Stealing spotlight from kids is next level narcissistic.',
'When do your kids get to be the main character?'
'This is sad! You are not the main character anymore. Let your kids have a childhood,'
'Cute but the kids should have been the stars here.',
'Weird to make yourself the princess and the kid a prop, not gonna lie.',
'Totally gross to use your kids as accessories on Halloween. Diabolical.',
Others, however, came to her defense, branding the costumes as 'iconic' and 'adorable'.
'This is so cute! I have always wanted to wear Belle's dress! You're living it and it looks fabulous on you,' one user gushed.
'Well YAS. SHE IS MAIN CHARACTER,' someone else replied.
'This just in: Women who have children are no longer allowed to be princesses. Their life is over. It's only mother now,' a different user sarcastically fired back at a hater.

Another person pointed out that her kids may be 'too little' to 'remember their Halloween costumes' so she should 'enjoy her MILF era to the fullest while she can'.
It comes after it was revealed that there may be tension brewing between Hilton and her pal Kim Kardashian.
Biographer Jonathan Van Meter, whose new book Citizen Kim: The Woman Who Created the Future hit stands this week, revealed in the tome that he planned to discuss Kardashian with Hilton, who has known the mogul since childhood and hired her as an assistant in the early aughts.
However, the heiress reportedly canceled their interview multiple times, allegedly leaving Kardashian very upset.
'Kim was so mad when I told her. It seemed to stir up some ancient irritation between them. The creation turning on the creator,' Van Meter told The Hollywood Reporter last week.
Van Meter said Hilton emerged as a potential reference 'late in the process' of writing the biography.
'Late in the process, I told Kim I should talk to her,' he shared. 'Kim checked and said Paris agreed, but I had to go through her publicist. That was unusual: With everybody else, Kim just sent a text.
'I sent questions, connected with Paris' assistant, and then the interview was canceled 17 times over about four months. Eventually I thought the cancellations were more interesting than whatever she'd tell me.'
