Palworld is getting an MMO spin-off coming in 2026

Palworld Online, a massively multiplayer online spin-off from the 2024 creature-collecting megahit Palworld, has been announced today by developer Pocketpair.

Coming exclusively to iOS and Android in 2026, Palworld Online is described in the official news release as reconstructing "the depth, freedom, and scale unique to Palworld, for mobile devices."

"Centered around online multiplayer where players can meet in the same world and enjoy cooperation, competition, and joint base building, the game also incorporates its own unique story setting and original storyline," reads an auto-translated version of the news release. "Set in a vast, seamlessly connected open world, players can enjoy adventures with friends anytime, anywhere, alongside the mysterious creatures called pals."

Yep, that sure sounds like Palworld. Terry Zhao, the president of Garena, the publisher behind Palworld (and Palworld Online) explained: "We want to deliver a new experience on mobile where players can connect with each other and adventure together. Working closely with Pocketpair, we are optimizing the game so that it can be enjoyed comfortably on mobile devices without sacrificing the depth, immersion, and freedom that are characteristic of Palworld."

1. Enjoy exploration and Pal capture/raising in a seamless open world

Players will freely explore a vast, seamlessly connected world with their Pals, facing various challenges while finding hidden treasures and clues to the story.

By capturing and raising Pals and unlocking new areas, players will deepen their bond with their Pals through encounters and discoveries.

Furthermore, in addition to the game's unique story setting and original story, new side stories created specifically for this game will allow players to enjoy the world of 'Pal World Online' even more deeply.

2. Enjoy online multiplayer by meeting and cooperating with friends

Players can meet other players in the field, form parties, build joint bases, and enjoy various cooperative and competitive content.

You can enjoy challenging PvE content with friends and heated PvP battles. You can

also enjoy playing at your own pace, such as visiting other players' bases, cooperating with friends to challenge powerful bosses that appear in the open world, and searching for rare Pals together.
