New Alpha Pals have been added in the Feybreak update for Palworld, allowing you to find and beat unique bosses around a new map. Smokie is one such Alpha Pal introduced in this expansion, with its own Work Suitability and resources that make it worth tracking down. You can try to capture this creature or farm it for valuable materials, but only after you defeat it in battle.
Before you can find Alpha Boss Smokie, you need to have Pals that are at least Level 45 before traveling to Feybreak Island. This land is full of aggressive and powerful Pals and trainers who can constantly be challenging to fight. Due to the turrets guarding the Island, you'll have to sail or fly low to the water to reach this location and start your hunt for Smokie.

Search The Right Biome Stealthily
When you find its normal form in the wild, Smokie will try to flee whenever you encounter it. This creature will rarely stay for a fight, so you have to track it down while remaining hidden as you explore Feybreak Island. To find normal Smokies, head to the northeastern biome near the top of the Feybreak map, and search areas in the red part of the regional biome.
Using Double Air Dash Boots isn't as easy as it seems in Palworld, and players need to be sure they have all the resources before getting them.
That being said, the Alpha Field Boss variant of Smokie does not run away when you get the opportunity to fight it. Instead, this creature will fight with fire, threatening to burn your character to death if you aren't careful.

Travel southeast from the Loess Plains Teleportation Point from the northeast biome on Feybreak Island.
You should spot the Alpha Smokie from the creature's signature black flames, but be careful approaching it once you see it. This boss appears inside the Sealed Realm of the Little Hero, a location you can only access once you gather Bounty Tokens from other defeated Alpha Pals. To reach this Alpha Pal's location in Palworld, you need to first beat these other creatures:

Alpha Gildane
Alpha Kitsun Noct
None of the Field Alpha Bosses you need to beat to unlock Alpha Smokie's location have their spawn restricted to an exact timeframe. You can challenge these Pals at their respective locations during the day or night.
These other Pals can be challenges in their own right, as they are all over Level 50. You need to have Pals that at least match the Level of the Field Alpha Bosses you'll be trying to beat to reach Alpha Smokie. For any of the Alpha Bosses you fight, try to bring the right resources that will make the battles easier, such as Legendary Spheres to help capture Alpha Smokie fast.

Learn What Types The Pal Is Weak Against
Smokie is a Dark-type Alpha Pal, a type of boss who is good against Neutral-types and weak against Dragon-types. Having a strong Dragon-type Pal on your team is the perfect counter to Smokie, even despite the creature's Alpha Pal status. The boost in power afforded to Smokie as a boss is irrelevant if you have a Pal that exploits their weakness.
Jetragon in Palworld is a great Dragon-type counter for Alpha Smokie, especially if it is a few Levels above the Alpha Boss.
Alpha Boss Smokie spawns into the Sealed Realm of the Little Hero with several other Smokies as allies. This team of enemies can threaten to overwhelm you if they aren't dealt with quickly as soon as the boss fight begins. Use your weapons to eliminate the smaller Smokies first, then focus your attention on the Alpha version when it's alone.
While Bone is a common resource collected from many defeated Pals, Crude Oil in Palworld is an exceedingly rare item. Crude Oil is used to fuel powerful machines and weapons, but it is usually only farmed by tapping into oil reserves with complicated structures you have to build. The ability to farm this resource from a specific type of Pal makes gathering it far easier.
Those who capture the Alpha Boss Smokie will have a powerful Pal on their side, whose Gathering 2 Work Suitability can help them discover rare items around Feybreak Island. Once you find and beat Alpha Boss Smokie in Palworld's Feybreak update, you may collect another Bounty Token that helps unlock another Alpha Pal encounter somewhere else on the DLC map.
