With Halloween right around the corner, Palworld is getting into the swing of things by giving players some spooky threads to help their Pals celebrate the season. Palworld may not be known for its spine-tingling scares, but that shouldn't stop the community from embracing the creepiest night of the year. If players can dress up and look the part, then there's no reason their army of adorable Pals shouldn't also have an opportunity to throw together a thematically appropriate costume.
Per a trailer on YouTube, developer Pocketpair revealed that four Pals will gain access to new Halloween-themed skins: Cattiva dons a Jack-o'-Lantern mask, Katress wears some witchy spectacles, Pengullet embraces their inner pirate, and Croajiro goes all in with a pointed hat and wand.
All four cosmetics are now available for everyone and should be added to players' accounts the next time they boot up the game. Pocketpair notes that users will need at least one of the corresponding Pals to unlock their threads so they won't be strutting around in the wild with their new clothes.
Palworld Also Makes Some Minor Changes
It Should Be Much Easier To Chat With Friends
The Halloween skins are undoubtedly the most exciting part of Palworld's 0.3.10 Patch but they're not the only new features. One of the more exciting improvements should allow players to type up much longer messages in the text chat since Pocketpair has "significantly relaxed" the character limit of the system. While most players are likely using a microphone and headset to communicate with friends, it is good to know that those who can't use such features can chat a little easier.
Beyond this upgrade, the update has also squashed some major bugs, including a memory leak on the servers that resulted in less-than-ideal performance for many users. Several "critical game crashes" have also been addressed as well as a clipping problem that saw larger Pals pushing players through the walls of the world. For a surprise update intended to celebrate Halloween, it's good to see Pocketpair making an effort to solve some of the more pressing issues.

Palworld's Halloween Skins Are Cute
Who Doesn't Enjoy A Free Cosmetic
Palworld may not be the kind of game one would imagine when thinking about Halloween celebrations but I appreciate that Pocketpair is trying to do right by its player base. Some of the new skins look a little goofy (Katress only gaining a set of spectacles is underwhelming) but I enjoy the aesthetic regardless. The fact that these cosmetics are being handed out for free is also refreshing given how many developers would attempt to monetize them.
