Paige Thorne gives birth to a baby boy! Love Island star announces she has welcomed her first child with Drew Wedlake as she reveals sweet name

Love Island star Paige Thorne has given birth to her first child – a baby boy – with her boxer boyfriend Drew Wedlake.

The reality star, 29, announced the news on her Instagram page on Wednesday, sharing photos of the newborn, who they have called Fateley.

She wrote in the caption: Fateley Hayes Wedlake, we never knew a love like this existed'

Paige's TV pals congratulated them on the announcement in the comments section. Andrew Le Page wrote: 'Congratulations',

Dami Hope added: 'YAAAAAY what a beautiful baby boy,'

Olivia Hawkins penned: 'Oh so precious!! Congratulations my angel xxx.'

The couple went Instagram official with their relationship in July last year and Paige revealed she relocated to Bristol after just three months together.

Recently, Paige revealed how she had been preparing for birth at 38 weeks pregnant and detailed the symptoms she had been experiencing.

She said that she had Braxton Hicks, lightening crotch, stomach tenderness and backache in the lead up to her baby's birth.

Paige also admitted she had suddenly started to feel anxious about labour, despite feeling 'calm and excited' throughout her pregnancy. 

Earlier in the pregnancy they had revealed they were expecting a baby boy, revealing the news in a sweet Instagram video in June.

Sharing a clip of her sitting on Drew's knee, she switched his cap to face the front of his head to reveal the words 'best dad' on it.

The former X Factor contestant then grabbed a mini blue guitar from his truck and placed it next to his.

He then sweetly kissed Paige's baby bump as they giggled and shared a kiss.

Alongside the post, she penned: 'The secret’s out.

'The little boy we’ve been dreaming of is on his way. We can’t wait to watch you grow, make the best memories and give you the happiest life we possibly can.

'Even before officially finding out you were a boy as your parents we already knew, we’ll never be able to put into words how much we need you in our lives so hopefully this song will do the talking for us. 

'This one’s for you baby boy, a little bit of both of us. Little bit of both available now on all platforms. Counting down the days til we meet.'

Sharing an update with her fans at 24 weeks, Paige showcased her growing baby bump in a pink swimsuit as she shared an update on her pregnancy on Instagram. 

Paige had previously gushed that she was 'loving how my body is changing', while cradling her bump in the eye-catching one-piece. 

The reality star flashed a smile to the camera as she posed in front of a lake during a wellness retreat as she said she feels 'confident and empowered'. 

She wrote: 'I always thought I'd struggle so much with body image whilst being pregnant because I always trained so hard and watched what I ate all the time. 

'But I'm so glad that I LOVE how my body is changing to grow this little baby. I feel beyond confident and empowered, as if I was made to be pregnant, is that weird to say?'

Paige went on to reveal she has been suffering with 'lower back ache since week four' and has been undergoing 'pregnancy massages and lymphatic drainage every two weeks'. 

She added: 'To sum it up, I love being pregnant. I'm in love with my future little life I have ahead of me, I've never felt more ready for such a big change. 

'I feel like this is what's been missing for the longest time for me'. 

 Paige shared the exciting news she is pregnant with her first child in March. 

The couple shared a sweet video on the beach, with Paige showing off her blossoming baby bump in a yellow co-ord.

The television personality clutched an ultrasound scan, while boyfriend Drew tenderly kissed her stomach.

They captioned the post: 'Half of me & half of you. You are already loved infinitely, baby Wedlake due September.'

A host of Love Island alumni took to the comments to share their congratulations.

Rosie Williams wrote: 'So special, congratulations beautiful,' while Danica Taylor said: 'Finally my girl.'

Tasha Ghouri added: 'This is so so beautiful congratulations'.

Paige moved in with Drew, who auditioned in the 2017 series of The X Factor, after just three months of dating and spoke about the struggle of uprooting her life from Swansea to Bristol.

She reflected last month: 'Basically I moved in with my boyfriend after a very short time of knowing each other aka three months.

'I have moved in to Bristol away from my family, away from my routine, away from my home life.

'I found that adjustment very difficult so I kept going back to Swansea back to here, never having a routine, never sitting down.'

Former paramedic Paige joined Love Island on its eighth season and was eventually dumped on day 56.

During her time in the South African villa in 2022, Paige enjoyed a romance with Jacques O'Neill – whom she chose to couple up with more than once.

The pair even coupled up after the Casa Amor, but was left single after Jacques chose to leave the villa. She then got serious with Adam Collard, but the couple were dumped by the public. They split shortly after the show.
