Over 30 Looney Tunes Characters & Cameos In Coyote Vs. Acme Explained

Defying the odds, Coyote vs. ACME has finally released in theaters, featuring an impressive collection of Looney Tunes beyond Wile E. Coyote himself. While some have bigger roles than others, it's lots of fun to see some of the classic characters who've existed for almost 100 years.

While Wile E. Coyote and the ACME Corporation are obviously at the center of the story, the movie is packed with appearances, references, and cameos from across the greater Looney Tunes universe. Set in a world where live-action humans and Looney Tunes exist side by side, the new Coyote vs ACME movie is just as much a celebration of the franchise as 1996's Space Jam or 2003's highly underrated Looney Tunes: Back in Action.

From recognizable favorites to blink-and-you'll-miss-it appearances, Coyote vs. ACME contains plenty of Looney Tunes characters. Keeping that in mind, here's our breakdown of all the major Looney Tunes characters and cameos we found in Coyote vs ACME.

Wile E. Coyote

Of course, the leading Looney Tune is Wile E. Coyote, who decides to hire Will Forte's Kevin Avery as his lawyer to fight the ACME Corporation due to all the products that have caused him harm while trying to catch Road Runner. Although Wile E. Coyote initially has his own agenda beyond winning the trial, he does become genuine friends with Kevin by Coyote vs. ACME's ending.

Road Runner

It wouldn't be a story about Wile E. Coyote without the Road Runner. Not only does one of the fastest Looney Tunes continue to successfully evade Coyote, but also the ACME Corporation when they attempt to capture him as a character witness. Surprisingly, Road Runner comes to the hearing before Congress of his own accord, resulting in one of the movie's most touching scenes.

Foghorn Leghorn

Foghorn Leghorn debuts as the corrupt CEO of ACME in Coyote vs ACME, with John Cena's Buddy Crane working as his chief lawyer in the Coyote case. Leghorn is also revealed to have been the executive behind Project Sisyphus and its immoral evolution, using the inherent resiliency of cartoon characters to buy faulty products in order to improve human devices.

Bugs Bunny

Bugs Bunny is introduced as a key ACME whistleblower who tries and hilariously fails to keep his identity a secret. Although ACME ultimately wins the trial, Leghorn and Buddy still become implicated thanks to Bugs providing years of video evidence by the movie's end.

Daffy Duck

Daffy Duck offers critical information on ACME to Kevin Avery and his niece/intern Paige, having been a former product tester for ACME before it drove him extra "looney", resulting in his stay as a patient at St. Looney's for the Exceptionally Looney.

Dr. Lorre

Dr. Lorre was once the lead scientist in ACME's Research & Development department for cartoon products. However, his attempt to expose Project Sisyphus led to him being disappeared by ACME, having been forced down a rolled-out cartoon black hole.

Tweety Bird

Once the pet bird of Dr. Lorre, Tweety was forced to work for ACME, eventually becoming an informant and hitman for Buddy Crane during the Coyote case.

Granny

Granny is revealed to be Dr. Lorre's wife, who never gave up believing that her husband was still alive, and that his being missing years prior was because of ACME and Project Sisyphus.

Sylvester

Just like in the classic cartoons, Sylvester briefly appears as Granny's cat. However, a prior cartoon case, "Sylvester vs Gonzales," is brought up by Kevin during the congressional hearing, offering a precedent that the pursuit of another individual counts as employment for a cartoon. As such, it seems Sylvester was once involved in a trial of his own with Speedy Gonzales before the events of Coyote vs ACME.

The Tasmanian Devil

Debuting as one of ACME's many product testers, the Tasmanian Devil is called to the witness stand in the present, having become one of ACME's PR reps (only to be ejected by Buddy and his legal team before he could expose Project Sisyphus).
