As a certified fashion girl (and strong-willed person), it's very rare that I let someone else style me. For the most part, I either wear what I want to wear based on my own creativity, or I'll ask my brother or mom their thoughts about my outfit — two people whose sartorial sense I highly respect. But if we're talking someone outside of close friends or family? I'm definitely apprehensive. Of course, that apprehension faded quickly once Vivrelle and Revolve's new Complete the Look feature came into play. The brands' collaboration invited AI to dictate my outfit, and the outcome turned out to be one of my favorite looks to date.
The luxury consignment site and go-to shopping destination recently launched their partnership that includes an AI-powered tool, which allows Vivrelle members to seamlessly team their chosen handbag or accessory with complimentary looks from Revolve or FWRD. All you have to do is log in to the app, select the bag you want to borrow, and press "add to closet." You then proceed to your cart, where you'll see the Complete the Look element appear with clothing suggestions from Revolve and FWRD.
Most notably, the partnership is the first-of-its-kind, especially for Vivrelle, which has a mission to create accessible experiences for its members. Later this season, the brands will launch another phase of the feature with "Ella," an AI concierge that will act as a personalized fashion assistant.
As shopping editors and designer-bag fanatics, it was only right that we try the feature for ourselves. Ahead, read our editors' honest thoughts about the innovative styling process and the designer bags we chose — and keep scrolling to shop our outfits from Revolve.

Chanel 19 Flap Bag Complete the Look Review
Outfit: Tularosa Elera Maxi Dress ($180). Chanel Lambskin Chanel 19 Flap Bag ($219/month).
"I've been experimenting with the quiet-luxury look this summer and Vivrelle x Revolve's AI tool nailed it perfectly when providing outfit options for this gorgeous Chanel bag. Their recommendations revolved around neutrals and wardrobe staples that make the bag's color really pop, which inspired me to pull black-and-white items that create a bold contrast. I went with this black-and-white dress from Revolve, layering a leather jacket on top then completing the look with my Prada black slingbacks. Next time, I'll take their advice and incorporate denim too — it's all about adding a jolt of red color to the minimalist aesthetic that really stands out.
I love creating chic color combos with my looks, so I truly felt like this AI tool was reading my mind! While the short shorts aren't totally my style, the recommendations were strong enough to inspire several styling ideas for this bag, so overall, it was super helpful with outfit planning." — Jessica Andrews, senior style director

Jacquemus Rond Carré Shoulder Bag Complete the Look Review
Outfit: Superdown x Emma Rose Jaquetta Jumpsuit ($74). Aldo x Disney Ursulaheel ($75, originally $150). Jacquemus Rond Carré Shoulder Bag ($119/month).
"This Jacquemus bag spoke to me instantly when scouring Vivrelle's site; I love neutral and versatile styles with subtly eye-catching features — aka the mismatched gold hardware on each side of the front flap. Vivrelle's new Complete the Look feature recommended an all-black look with an edgy, moto feel from Revolve, so I took a note and the inspiration led me to this Superdown jumpsuit, which I completed with my old favorite bomber jacket and the Aldo x Disney sandals, which feature an ornate gold shell around the heel for a nod back to the hardware on my Vivrelle bag.
Overall, I found the Complete the Look feature extremely easy to use and a great jumping off point for an outfit. What better way to get excited about styling a new accessory? My only note is that the recommendations took a bit long to load while shopping on the app (at least for me), and it would be cool to hit a refresh button for a fresh batch of recommendations if you're not feeling the ones that populate initially." — Sarah Wasilak, shopping director

Louis Vuitton Monogram Saint-Placide Bag Complete the Look Review
Outfit: Lovers and Friends Ciara Cardigan ($99, originally $139). Grlfrnd Sara Super High Rise Slim Straight ($225). Louis Vuitton Monogram Saint-Placide Bag ($119/month).
"I love my purses, but have I ever thought about styling my entire outfit around one? Not really — after all, a purse is the accessory. But Vivrelle x Revolve totally changed my mind. Not only is this super chic Louis Vuitton bag one I want to wear on repeat this fall, but the AI feature with Revolve found the perfect outfit inspiration for me to style with it — and honestly, it worked. I was skeptical at first, but now I'm kind of obsessed with my Revolve look.
I ended up getting a lookalike top, plus the exact jeans it recommended. I have to say, I'm obsessed. The only catch? It's 90 degrees out, so I haven't had a chance to show it off exactly how I want. Still, the outfit is so chic and totally my style. Sure, the AI has its kinks (hello, wrong season), but wow — I really love it. Even if you don't use it to shop for yourself, it's a great way to get style inspo for your own closet. This feature is definitely cool, and I suspect it's only going to get better. It definitely makes the Vivrielle membership even more worth it." — Haley Lyndes, shopping staff writer

Christian Dior Oblique Mini Saddle Bag Complete the Look Review
Outfit: Lovers and Friends Palmer Jacket ($219). Lovers and Friends Simone Mini Skirt ($151, originally $198). Durag Shawty Classic True Blue Durag ($30, originally $70). Christian Dior Oblique Mini Saddle Bag ($119/month).
"It's been a longstanding dream of mine to own a vintage Dior Saddle bag and it finally came true (for some time at least) thanks to Vivrelle and Revolve. Apart from my obsession with the bag, I was intrigued to see how technology would style this bag, being that it has nothing else to inform its decision other than my selection. The feature suggested a few picks from Revolve that admittedly weren't exactly my sartorial niche, but I did run free with the denim inspiration.
Being that I don't wear pants because of my religion, I decided to go with a denim jacket and skirt from Lovers and Friends, along with an old pair of thong boot sandals and a blue durag. It is still summer, but this look is effortlessly chic, and not too far from my style. I think the AI assistance is great, especially for a fashion novice, but it would be cool to be able to tailor results based on other factors to make it more personalized to the user (ex: suggestion of pants for someone who doesn't wear them). Overall, the feature is a super exciting way to discover your personal style and sport your dream designer bag." — Naomi Parris, assistant shopping editor
